I admire your defence of Traore Gem, but to be honest he has underperformed with regard to goals per game for over a season now. 3 goals and 3 assists from 41 games last season is a sign that something is not quite right.
Sure he played well against Leicester, but at the end of the day we lost, mainly due to his lack of ability to score goals.
45m will be a good price if it's true and we will have players coming back from injuries soon, plus we could easily play 3.5.2 with wing backs providing assists.
If only we had wing backs that could provide assists. Semedo is certainly not one of those, even at Barca he barely weighed in with any. Ait-Nouri possibly could though but while Marcal starts then that's no assists that side either.
Truth is we've got no creativity or players that create chances anywhere in the team. Just where are the goals coming from?
Sick of hearing about "when Jimenez comes back", blah, blah, blah
We weren't creating chances for him before he got injured, he was coming deeper and deeper looking for the ball - which meant that when we actually got possession we had nobody in the opposition penalty area.
Teams got wise to Nuno's 5-4-1 "rope a dope" tactics and we haven't developed the squad sufficiently to come up with a successful Plan B.
I'm not seeing any early signs that Bruno can come up with anything either, which is a worry to be honest.
To be fair to Semedo, he played as a RB in a back four with Barcelona. Ait-Nouri, as you say, could provide assists if he's played as a wing back. Again, to be fair, we haven't really seen much of Marcal, due to his injury problems.
Personally, I'd take the 45m, if that's what the offer is, rather than wait and see if Traore can get back to his goals/assists of two seasons ago.
But that's just my opinion.
I think this comment re-iterates the objective Fosun stated when they took over the club:-
Technical director Scott Sellars said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Owen to further his career. Our academy brought a boy from London at 15 and really developed him to become a full international and play in Premier League, which shows the great work being done here.
“Our job is to develop players to fulfil their potential. If it’s to play in our first-team then great, but it is obviously very difficult to make the grade in the Premier League, so if it means we’ll develop them and sell them, that is an important part of our strategy as well."
So, with the sale of Otasowie and Mir, the club are now in the black with regard to transfers in and out. Roughly 3-4m.
Traore has been our star attacker for quite some time now as he was at Leicester.
Beyond me how a player can attract criticism for missing chances while other players that never looked like scoring all afternoon get a free ride
Unfortunately, our scoring record hasn't been good for quite a while now, so when a player, sorry, "star player" get's the chance when one on one with a 'keeper, I'd expect that "star player" to score.
So, I cannot criticize a player for missing chances, yet you can criticize someone like Saiss, which you do constantly. Plus, just who are these other players who never look like scoring. From what I've seen over the last season, the only player that doesn't look like scoring is Traore.
So, I'd rather get a large sum of money for him and invest the funds in a player who can find the ol' onion bag.
I'm sorry I can't say anything as I will be called a moaner.
However I wish we would by some players that can play straight away so as to boost our playing squad. The way it's going we will barely have enough players to put a team out.
The promises and optimism of four years ago have disappeared and I really wonder where we are going.

Where have you been Wolfgang? Not out with Sir Halfy, I hope.
Surprised no-one has mentioned the Spurs result. Albeit with a reserve side out.

In the press conference it looks like Bruno has dialed back the 3 or 4 quote. Now says he prefers not to say and the club know what we need.
Also only training with 15 first team players.

Not quite as weak a side as made out. Six or seven internationals wasn't it?

Will certainly be interesting to see if Mir is on the bench on Sunday, though I very much doubt he will be after only a few days with the squad. If he wants to be here, I would give him until January at least. Him and Silva would be two good bench options. Mir certainly seems to be ahead of Silva in his development as a player judging by his contribution in Spain last season.

Well that's that one put to bed.

TBC is a bit of a WUM at times but have to agree with this. No one on here (except uncle Herb who is clearly not to be taken seriously and never set out to be) has views that are worthy of blockage in my view. All of us have our own logic for our opinions and none in my view are particularly offensive. Even the wind ups are relatively harmless.
I say it as I see it. If anyone disagrees then that's fine by me as we all have our own opinions.
Personally I love all the differing opinions on here, for me that's what a forum is for. We have happy clappers (generally I'm one of those) and doom & gloomers (you know who you are )
When it gets a bit heated I have been known to chuck the odd bit of petrol on the fire, sometimes I can't resist.
I think this is one of the better boards on 606, I've seen some where everyone agrees with each other and lots of @ss licking takes place - how boring is that!?
I'll tell you what though, if Adama Traore stays at Wolves for the full season I'm prepared to bet he will prove me right about his worth. He is already looking better playing for Bruno and ok, yes, he missed a couple of one on one's. I also seem to remember he won us a game against City by scoring two one on one's against one of the best keepers in Europe.
No question Traore will prove his worth- Leicester would have had a comfortable afternoon last week were it not for him. I think every press report I read quite rightly made him and Kilman our best players and the 3,000 Wolves fans that travelled there certainly loved watching him play and his name was being chanted more than any other player. I’m certain the vast majority of Wolves fans would be distraught if he left and like me are really looking forward to seeing him against Spurs and Man Utd in the next couple of games at Molineux. A truly unique and exciting player to watch and we are lucky to have him
I think I’ll trust wolfie’s “honest opinion” on our players performances over the clouded views of 3,000 drunken hooligans who have been drinking for hours before the game, and then carry on drinking for hours afterwards.
