I dont know why you lot put up with Levy.. He pays himself more money than any other chairmen in the premier league.
Kane has given everything to Spurs and wants to win things. he should be allowed to leave for a decent price.. Not 150+ million that Levy demands.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A decent price would be £160 million. Spurs hold all the cards fella. Just shut the feck up, this has nothing to do with Mousers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agreed, shut the f** up scouser. I’m sure you wouldn’t be so accommodating if City offered 80 mil for Mo Salah would you ? In fact, you Liverpool fans hit the roof when Steven Gerrard was inches away from Chelsea. Hypocrites. Kane signed a 6 year contract and still has 3 years left. If he truly wanted out, why not ask for a release clause like Grealish ? Like Smeg pointed out, Kane has had numerous chances to win big trophies at Spurs including the CL final ( biggest of all ) and has bottled it like every other of the Spurs players. He doesn’t deserve his move. We are the ones that hold the power and if we get a respectable offer ( 160 mil plus ) he’s free to go. Until then, City can f** off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don, your comments seem contradictory.
If he is such a big bottler, why keep him?
And is he really worth 160 Mil, a 28 year old bottler?
Perhaps the "bottling" might be due to Levy's lack of investment in the squad three years back?

The "gentleman's agreement seems to have been between Levy & Charlie Kane.
And while Kane is a premier world striker, he is injury prone, and Levy might do well to cash i while he's fit.
Of course Levy cannot be trusted to spend the money wisely.

But my take is...Kane has done his duty for this club...he wants out...trade him.
Remember when Sol Campbell went to Arsenal?
Read this...went on to win a lot with the Arsenholes....

KLS - You are assuming Levy has broken his word but their are two sides to every story. We don't know if the 'promise' included a fee. So far we have only heard from Kane's side. Until Levy speaks or all the information around the promise is fully disclosed we are just speculating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you think Kane is lying?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know. If the gentleman's agreement went along the lines of "No champions league and we get the fee we want you can leave" then Kane is not telling the whole story is he?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it’s entirely possible that there was a fee there or there about and that’s why Kane said to Neville it would take this much to get the ball rolling.

I then think Kane’s had the season he had, a season (IMO) in which he should’ve been player of the season and that’s upped the fee and that’s where the disagreement comes in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kane is not allowed to dictate the fee. That's Levy's job because Kane has 3 years left on his deal to THFC.

Kane just plucked £100m off the top of his head. Neville said £200m because he knows how much Levy values Kane at.

Sol Campbell was one of the best defenders of his generation, won the league cup with Spurs, and transferred to Arsenal. He will always be considered a club legend at Arsenal. ... With Arsenal, Sol won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup twice and scored in the Champions League Final. Sol is the only man to have scored in the Champions League Final for Arsenal.

I cannot believe that any supporter would think Kane would go for the same price as Grealish, who has a few step overs and half a dozen goals last season.

We are talking one of the world`s top goalscorers here, and his transfer asking price will reflect that. Circa £160 million minimum.

If you are only prepared to hear one side of the story then you cannot make a judgement properly can you?

Levy will never disclose a private conversation because it is not his style. Plus a gentlemans agreement, when you are talking about tens or hundreds of millions of pounds mean sweet FA. Business is business. Get everything written down and signed to avoid confusion.

Yep, honouring a contract “something deemed to be high on Spurs fans agenda” and staying in his home town and going on to win and compete for the big trophies. I get Arsenal are Spurs local rivals but at the time Sol moved you weren’t close to rivals in terms of league position and expectations.

Well, Kane is complaining about the same stuff...begin 7th, winning nothing, etc.
I do agree anyone who depends upon a "gentleman's agreement", unwritten, with Levy deserves what he gets.

In think Kane is twice the player Grealish is, Has been more important to his club than almost any other player I can think of (Pep wasn’t wrong when he called us the “Harry Kane Team&rdquo & has 3 years left on his contract. The reality is, all this talk of “gentlemens agreement” is bollix….. who gives a fack….. This is big business and is worth millions…. Nobody with an ounce of common sense takes agreement as on word of mouth….. You get it in writing !!! Kane is a facking idiot if he thinks joining a winning machine in City gives him any credibility and his brother/agent is a fracking moron. Don’t really care how this plays out….. We’ll live, we always do. He doesn’t want to play for Spurs……. I just hope Levy holds out for 175mln+….. I think he might just get it…. I think Kane, his agent and city are all stupid enough to make it happen

posted on 18/8/21

Kane is a facking coward….never turns up in the finals when he’s had the chances to win….. He’s basically blaming everyone else. He’s just throwing his toys out the pram and taking a “if you can’t beat them, join them” approach ….. He gets ZERO credit from me if he wins anything

posted on 18/8/21

There’s no quotes. It’s all pure speculation. 💤

posted on 18/8/21

I give Grealish far more credit for Joining City…. His boyhood club got great money, he gets the chance to work for Pep but at least he’s not bleating on about how he needs to win trophies…. Trying playing better when you had the chance with Spurs you selfish cant…… Incase you forgot…. It’s a team game

Sol Campbell:

-Lied to the club and fans saying he would stay and renew
- went on a free so the club didn’t recoup any money for arguably their biggest star and a player we’d developed
- went to Arsenal

Harry Kane:

- Pretty much openly admitted he wants to go
- if he does, we’ll likely get top dollar
- not going Arsenal

There are things about the Kane transfer saga not to like, but it’s not remotely like the Sol issue

Agreed, Campbell initially gave the impression he would sign, then claimed he wanted to run his contract down to try his hand abroad. Then moved to our rivals for not so much as a penny coming our way.

Kane signed a long contract, has apparently stated he wants to leave and we'll get a fair chunk of change in the process.

The only way it becomes similar is if Kane runs his contract down for reasons that then turn out to be a lie and then moves to a rival.
