Is Odegaard actually any good?
I know stats aren’t everything but for a player in his position they are very modest.

For 30 million in todays market I reckon its pretty good business. You look at 50 million on White and 30 million on Odegaard and you HAVE to think Arsneal could have used that money so much better.

We could have bought another Pepe. What a shame
If you’re early 20s English been capped for England, and got regular prem experience 40m is basically the base rate at the moment. So don’t think 50 is ridiculous for white. Remains to be seen if that should have been spent else where, or if that deal stops us strengthing, so we’ll see if it’s sensible or not. But we definitely needed a CB after luiz left, so we had to spend there.
30m for odegaard and no buy back is very good price when you look at his profile and experience, and another position we had to buy in. Unless he absolutely tanks in next 2 seasons, we should at least be able to sell for what we paid for him if it doesn’t work out.
Ramsdale is bit more of a head scratcher. Can’t see him impacting the team much better than Leno this season, could we have not got some stop gap until the summer?. Who knows. I suppose if you want that player and the deal can be done, you’d do it. Just hope it doesn’t block more pressing issues we need to address this window. We shall see.

You’re not wrong at all. Very underwhelming signings. But I guess they’re not a top4 team anymore, these signings are very mid table.
Even being out of the top four, they could make better signings than they have, they are still a massive club that pay handsomely. At least Everton make Everton signings because they can’t dine off their name and pay top wages, it’s a shambles that Arsenal are replicating them.
Are Arsenal currently the biggest spenders this summer?
Can't wait for ramsdale to sign. I've already put money on Arsenal to go down. The bookies may pay out early.

They signed Partey last season. And whilst he’s not worked out yet, he was still a very highly regarded player. They may not have the pull of some of the top four, but they still have pull in the transfer market due to their name, location and finances. These signings are as a result of incompetence not a lack of pull.

White is good but not sure he’s elite or has elite potential.
Never seen Lokonga play but almost 22 years old and has never played for what is now an average enough Belgian squad.
Tavares. A lot of similarities to Lokonga.
Ramsdale. Bang average. Surely better available and cheaper.
Odegaard. Has potential but hasn’t really done it at the highest level so far.

Lokonga has looked a steal at that price. HOWEVER...he is 21 and will have dips. He also has Arteta...who i have zero confidence to make him better.
Tavares is a kid but looks ok as a backup.
White is underwhelming.i wanted Dunk in 2019 and was told on here that he is championship level. I'd still have taken him over White. We need a no nonsense defender.
Odegaard is decent. Over his loan spell I was not blown out of the water. He is decent, but nothing to shout home about.
Ramsdale in the games I have seen has been underwhelming.
Having said all this...Arteta is the biggest issue. I have yet to see a player he has brought in really progress. Cedric, Mari, Willian, Gabriel (started brilliantly but tailed off), Partey (already at his prime).

Not good enough.
Hilarious really, Ramsdale is utter shiite. As others have mentioned, £130m spent on players im not convinced will improve them at all really.
White transfer is the only one we've made that really annoys me tbh. Bissouma is the Brighton player that we needed.
The rest aren't significant fee's at all. You can argue Ramsdale, but he's young and English so inevitably there is a tax.
All said and done, without signing an RB and CM that are ready to walk into the side then we're aren't going to make progress. Spunking £130m we should have solved both those issues.
