Saka has had a better career so far.
--------------
What are you basing that on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenals best player
Good Euros
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did have a good Euros, but Greenwood wasn't available.
They are both good players, but I can't really see an argument for Sakha having the better career so far. Greenwood's output is some way superior to Sakha's, despite playing out of position.
"Arsenals best player"
Not really hard though is it?
See Wayne, another five stars from me, a proper article

Saka is played out of position far more than Greenwood and more regularly too and regardless of whether there were mitigating circumstances or not Greenwiid was poor for the majority of last season and was bombed out of the England squad.
Even Ole has spoke about Greenwoods position as a 9 and not being ready so I don't really understand this.

Greenwood is quality. I just worry he will be sacrificed for the very expensive Martial, Sancho and Cavani.

There is a big difference between playing no.9 at youth level and as United's main striker and Mason wasn't ready last season. He may have matured enough this season. Either way, be is more of a no.9 than a winger and that has been his most regular position as a youngster and where Ole has spoken about him ending up.
Yes, I would agree that he struggled last season, but he discovered some form towards the end and think he'd have made the Euros squad if not for injury. I believe he was bombed out of the previous squad due to discipline?
Even with his poor form last season, he still have a better output than Saka.
He doesnt have to be a CF or.Wimger and notbing else.
Some of the best forwards (Mbappe, Salah, Mane, Sterling, Neymar) arent either.

Pretty poor examples there other than Mbappe really. As much as the others have played elsewhere across the attacking line, they aren't nearly as effective as there best positions.
Bombed out of the English squad
Good article Op, Greenwood is probably the best teenager we had since Rooney.
Although I don’t think he will be a future center forward. He doesn’t have a physicality for that role, he will struggle against teams that sit deep.
He will be a wide forward. Salah esque role will suite him better imo.

Whenever I see Greenwood, his overall style and precision in front of goal, It is hard not to see RVP in him, and I think like RVP he will be at his peak when he is 23.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He reminds me of Sturridge if he was two footed
Greenwood seems to always be compared to RVP but I don’t see it personally. RVP was less pacy and stronger in air and probably at general hold up play

It's more the way he strikes the ball I think. Little back lift and same body shape. He also shifts the ball or switches from one foot to the other, which RVP did.
Interesting read this thread 👍 may not be a United fan, but ways enjoy seeing a youngster thrive at a big club and force their way through.
Got to be honest, whenever I've seen Greenwood I haven't been that impressed, could be his age, could be when he's shifted out wide, could just have caught his bad games.
Not sure Saka has had the better career, but definitely had more impact at his club. But even then, you can only label it 'start of their career'. Hope Greenwood is as good as United fans say, or, at least will be as good.
