Apparently we've just signed Sarr from Metz. Done deal according to reports. A loan back to Metz seems to be the agreement. Good to see we've got our ears to the ground. One for the future.

Read some good stuff on him….think we have beaten a lot of top clubs to his signature
The new DOF obviously had his eye on him previously
Hopefully we will see him next season or maybe January depending on the agreement
Traore is the other one I would like to see signed. He destroyed us everytime he got the ball Sunday. With better players around him I think he has another level to go up to. Could be our Mane
- - - - - - - - - - -
I’m sorry but Traore is nowhere near the player Mane was, is!
You’re talking about a player who’s never scored 5 goals in a season in the Premier League.
At a minimum:
Sissoko and Aurier out
Defender and striker in
if not we riot
I think Traore would be a poor signing. He's endlessly frustrating.
So much pace and power and nothing else. Finishing is beyond terrible.

The price being mentioned is preposterous for a player that doesn't do an awful lot more than Bergwjin or Moura in terms of end product (less in fact than the latter).
I wouldnt mind Traore but as some have said he's more of the same.
But with Son and Traore flying down the wings we really would give opposition something to think about.
He's more an out and out winger, so not really a Mane type.
Overall i would like to see us better control games and this means a CM to replace Skipp, who is more of a PEH backup/insurance policy.
Get rid of Winks, Sisokko and get someone more dynamic and energetic in that position. We are so one-paced in midfield its embarrassing and we will get undone by teams that press aggressively with high energy. Our CM options neither move or think quick enough.

What worries me is that 90% of fans seem to realise this, but the club seem intent on spending a lot of money on him.
I can't work out who is stupid here - the fans or the club?!
I just don't think it's a signing that we need or that would improve us.
Would really like a RB. Personally would sell Doherty and Aurier for any fee. Even if just a few million. Would knock off a decent amount of wages.
That Japanese lad we were linked with seems the most realistic RB.
I like Traore but seems an unnecessary signing given our limited resources.

Couldn’t agree more with those values ….maybe less for Doherty ….he looks awful
Unfortunately levy won’t agree with any of it and they will hang around taking squad places and wages from players we do need !
I’d also sell Dier for 10-15 million as long as we get another centre back in
Aouar seems like a no brainer. They're keen to sell and he's better than the deadwood midfielders we've got. He might even cheer Ndombele up.

But without meaning to sound argumentative, what's the point of an attacking forward / winger without assists and goals?
For sure he scares defenders and can run at them very quickly, but if he doesn't know what to do with it once he's got past them, then it's all a bit pointless really!
Is he technically good enough to improve and start adding mroe to his game, or will he always just be a speed merchant that will put more of his crosses in to the stands than on to Son's head? I don't know, but £40m is a hell of a lot for a player who no one seems convinced by!

Im really not bothered either way if Traore stays or goes, if we can get £40m for someone that blasts past international defenders for fun with great ball control, incredible pace and puts his shot out for a throw in, then fine.

It’s a good point ….not argumentative….it’s all opinions ! I just think he can do more with better players around him
And I ll add….. is 40 million a lot now?
Fees have gone crazy and you can thank other clubs for that but that’s a different conversation entirely

Im really not bothered either way if Traore stays or goes, if we can get £40m for someone that blasts past international defenders for fun with great ball control, incredible pace and puts his shot out for a throw in, then fine.
