I really hope he can turn it around and have some.success. However he has had 20 odd months in charge. He rarely picks the same starting 11. He is one.striker away from.having signed an entire team.
I dont believe he will be sacked either. The money already spent and having to pay him.a.large amount to go also factors.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we struggle tonight, or at least make a massive meal out of it. I think West Brom are doing quite well, they won’t be scared of us and they’ll be confident they can cause us problems. If they score first it’ll be a tough job, think our players will panic if they do.

But there should be no excuses for us not to comfortably win tonight. Hoping with Ramsdale and odegaard starting they’ll be a bit more determination about us. If we score first I’ll be confident we can get a decent win.

Shows how crap the club let itself become that we worry about an away trip to West Brom, and it somehow feels like a big game!

It's compounded by the fact we have no identity when we play. I've never seen such insipid displays in my years of watching Arsenal. Been watching some Big Match reruns on ITV4 currently running the 1974 season. We were in a crisis then with Charlie George and John Samuel's wanting away, yet we still played some delightful football despite the unrest.

It’s more of a big game for Arteta really than the club. Don’t think we’d lose too much sleep going out of the league cup. But for Arteta if he loses this he’ll really struggle to justify why he should be manager, I think if he loses this then drops points against Norwich or Burnley how could any player or fan think he’s the right man after that. He’s very lucky as he is that the club, some fans and the players still believe in him. He’s very close to losing full support though, hence why this game is pretty massive
