The good news is we've got Kane for another season. The bad news is we're only going to have to endure this next summer as I can't see a scenario in which we do anything that makes Kane want to stay.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What a defeatest attitude, so two wins out of two to start the season without Kane, points to a complete flop of a season.
Shouldn`t you just be a bit more positive for once, and think just maybe Spurs may actually do something under Nuno.

True but by then we will have a better understanding where we are at as a club. We will have a year to potentially getting his replacement in rather than a month. It’s definitely a win for us this scenario. We keep Kane and have managed to avoid bending over for City. Something you love too see
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The trouble for me is, if we know it's inevitable he'll be off next season, then you don't want to do much transitional work by starting afresh with a new manager and new players and then end up selling your star player soon after. It's kind of liking stepping forward and then stepping back again.

Way to overreact Sandy. Nobody is talking about it being a complete flop. Just that I don't think we'll do enough to convince Kane to want to remain, even if we got top 4.
Nothing to do with not being positive. I'm being realistic but you go ahead and think we'll win the league if you want mate.

surely the worst news is that every time "the media" mentions kane's wantaway antics over the next 12 months, we'll all have to endure another steve f article

The Kane-related speculation from everyone in the media has been tedious, from Talksport to the usual pundits on the TV bringing it up. Glad that side of it is over....for now.

To be honest mate, I don`t think the club should just be pandering to what Kane wants. The team and club have to go forward as one. I am pleased he said he is staying, and we should just leave it at that. I think Spurs fans keep saying he will leave is just pandering to the media agenda. Let`s not give them any fuel. If Spurs fans get behind the team, that is all that should matter.
Oh and where did I say Spurs would win the League? Try not to make up things mate.

I'm still behind the team even if I think Kane might leave next summer. It matters not me saying that on here, I doubt JA606 will have any influence on the media.
Of course by hanging on to Kane it may at least give us more chance of a successful season i.e. winning something. At the same time I don't want that to mean we're not looking for other attacking options before the end of the window.

Of course I expect Spurs to always be looking at bringing in other players, but I think the priority is not another attacker, but a creative midfielder. Eriksen has never been replaced. I think Spurs have more than enough up front, but the problem is getting a player that will supply them with the chances.
be interesting to see how he performs, new manager, same players, same throphyless season looming not far off 30 next season.

Yup nobody to touch Greavsie. Imagine him playing in the modern game on billiard ball pitches, with lightweight boots, and with a beach ball for a football. He would probably be outscoring Messi and Ronaldo.

leave off. Greavise was great in his era but would now be considered overweight due to his smoking and boozing lifestyle. He wouldn't stand up against modern greats like fitness fanatics like Ronaldo.
I mean I used to rate Charlie George but I don't think he'd get anywhere near the ball in today's game and would barely makes the subs bench let alone play
