Can't get in to the coverage
Our defence is getting shredded by Leeds' right winger, Summerville who is lightening quick. Would be interesting to see him up against Feste.
2-2, HT.
Hanging in there, v pacy opponents, even Cashin looking uncomfortable at times.
Rams a couple of 23s standard players short really
5 of the Leeds squad called up for young Eng duties
Getting my excuses in early
Their pacy winger off at HT.
Borkovic for Thompson, for Rams
2-3, breakaway goal, largely against the run of play

Carlos Richards for Aghatise. 16yo.
Aghatise might have had 3.
All over, 2-3.
Might have got something, but no complaints. Leeds looked more dangerous and their fitness showed at the end.

Cashin rightly sent off for a second yellow in injury time. Not sure we deserved to lose this.
Thought Cashin was fouled first, but then held his man for his 2nd yellow.
Bit lucky to get just a yellow for his first, though.
Dont know what we do in defence without him now
Well cheers for the updates
Anyway, back to tomorrow....

I think we’ll kickstart our season with points
If the EFL's opening bid is a 9 point deduction I think this is where Mel, if he has anything between his legs, needs to go on the offensive, and take it to the independent panel asking for a 30 point addition.
The independent panel felt it only necessary to give us a small fine over what amounted to a technicality.
We were operating based on guidelines that had been signed off, there was a clear attempt to stay within FFP based on what we had been told was correct, the accounts show this (especially if they now fail) had those guidelines been different the rest of our decisions would have been different and our current accounts would more than likely pass.
The EFL's treatment of us has caused us to lose a valuable asset (Marriot) due to not even allowing a contract extension, and put us at a competitive disadvantage due to the embargo. It amounts to harassment and excessive punishment over what has already been deemed a technicality.
In order to compensate for this, an additional 30 points insurance buffer would negate the damage caused by the EFL's actions.
The independent panel would have to listen to both sides of the argument, and likely come up with something in the middle. There's no point in asking for a fine, or for the point reduction to be 0, we need to go on the offensive over this.
Mornin' y'al
Morning 9ear - interesting surmisation
A hopefully happy Brian Clough trophy day to one and all this morning. May the best team win unless Forest are the better team.
Going to Pride park for the first time since march 2020 against my better judgment but I do love the atmosphere at this game. The hate I feel for a couple of hours to those in red and white is off scale but we all need to be totally irrational sometimes and 4 hours a year isn't so bad. This is probably how those on the far right of politics feel all the time.
Good on you Spart!
The short period of acceptable irrationality is what football is about. I've been writing the eulogy for my Dads funeral and a large part of it is about football. Not just Derby but grass roots as well.
Dad never swore at home but at football, he was quite happy to let loose with a choice, but well timed tirade. Mum doesn't believe me but, let's face it, part of going to games is letting off steam. She never went with him ... he never asked her ! Can't think why 🤣
Enjoy today Spart, roar till you're raw and be part of the noise that helps see Derby pick up 3 valuable points against the Dogs.
COME ON YOU RAMS!
Glad you're getting out Spart. Can't shut yourself away forever and in the words of Boris The Wise, "If not now, when?"
Time is running out to get a resolution to the off-the-field stuff before the window shuts. Could we limp along with what we've got until January? Seems unlikely to me unless we get very lucky with injuries. So every point is vital. Maybe one for Captain Tom to come off the bench and win it with a late screamer to confirm all-time legend status on himself.
I have been getting out Vidal but to mountainous areas devoid of people, obviously not Snowdon. Even managed one trip abroad last September.
Will be sitting in the West Stand so all around me will probably be self isolaters and be vaccinated so chances of infection are reduced.
We have done remarkably well so far with a squad cobbled together from kids and out of contract pensioners. The current points total of ourselves and Forest I thought would be the other way round. Despite what is written about this fixture the form book very rarely flies out the window. Over the past 13 years I can only think of two upsets, kneegate day and Ben Osborn hitting the late winner.
