Deleting comments now GB…have you been friends with culer long?

I have already said in another article, I am a fan of Klopp but seeing him come out after the game and basically complain that 10 man Chelsea didn't lay down and let Liverpool score ... I'm not having that.

I think Chelsea defended superbly, we didn't let Liverpool have any clear chances apart from the one that led to the penalty. We were the better team 11 vs 11 and had a couple of really decent chances down to 10 men.

What surprised me was how lethargic Salah, Mane and Firminho/Jota were. I think your midfield was awful apart from Elliott. Today, you just weren't at it.

The deleted comment was just gibberish that added nothing..i rarely delete comments so that should tell u how bad it was..

Eric...your right, we lacked urgency and was way too slow.

Should have been 2 or 3 up in the first half before the ref ruined the game.

You should be disappointed with your 2nd half performance as you hardly created and were restricted to long range efforts

Perhaps your players shouldn’t slap the ball off the goalline in the future then.

Seen quite a lot of Chelsea fans talking as if they’ve been hard done by today and that a handball on the goal line hasn’t always been a red card. Weird bunch.

Your only chance was the Mount one and one in the second half. You didn't create nothing apart from those two. Hendo had a big chance, Elliott one, Salah in the second half. Your goalkeeper saving two long distance shots.

GB I am biased as a CFC fan, I honestly thought after and had those other chances, we were starting to take control of the game and you had stated to run out of ideas first half.
True you did not throw it all at us as I expected and maybe its just early in the season and no harm done at 1-1 , so yes we will see you at the bridge and that should be a game and a half, because I think there is starting to be a little niggle between the sides which always give extra impetus

Second half, Lukaku blocked shot from more or less the penalty spot and Kovacic shot weakly into the keepers arms. First half, Mount should have scored, the goal and a couple of weak efforts from the edge of the area.

Liverpool, the home side, the action which led to the penalty, Henderson - a good half chance really and lots of efforts from distance.

Liverpool were poor today against a Chelsea which defended supremely in the second half.

Poor game management in the second half. Has Mendy even conceded from long range yet since he joined Chelsea? What on earth made your players think that was the way to beat him? Did you subconsciously think Kepa was still in goal?

I dont know what the handball rules are but I sincerely don't think it was a deliberate handball. Definitely a penalty but the Red card destroyed a brilliant game.

Ball had already bounced off his arm before he moved it you weapon. And the ref didn’t even see the arm move he based his decision on a still image

Exactly this ... the ball had gone before the arm movement - he didn't scoop anything away except thin air.

Bounced off his arm because he made himself bigger and stopping the ball in the net. He only needed one look at it because it was a fecking obvious pen/red card.

He made himself bigger by raising his leg to try and block the ball. His arm was always going to move as he raised his leg cause it is a natural movement.

Asi said maybe the rules don't careif it was deliberate ornitbut they should.

Anyway very early days but Chelseashould be more buoyed by today than Liverpool. We were the better team till the penalty and then showed great mental toughness 2nd half.

There are no rules to say the defender has to make himself smaller when playing against Liverpool ... or maybe it's the special "Anfield" rule.

TAA got away with an identical one last season.

I don't remember too many complaints.

Handball stopping a certain goal has always been a pen/red card fella. Complain as much as you like about the rule, but don’t complain about the ref applying that rule.
