Spurs finishing above Arsenal at end of the season was the final nail in Arsenal demise.
Arteta comes across as a very nice person, but when it comes to managing Arsenal, he is completely out of his depth.
To take on this role without being in charge of any prior club does him a disservice and he should now realise that and should move on.
The Board made a mistake, they should rectify it.
Thats it Tottenham are going to win the league and Arsenal finish last on the same day

I think the main issue I as an Arsenal fan have, is that there has been no development or clear style implemented. The same failings continue to appear, and there doesn't seem to have been any attempts at fixing them. As Rio Ferdinand says, Arsenal are a fluffy team, mentally weak.
I've said before that OGS was given a lot more time than many Utd fans thought he deserved. He managed to turn things around from the clubs nadir just after Mourinho left. Will Arteta be given the same amount of time? He's finally been backed with a good wedge to make signings. Yet he's also failed to clear out certain players.
I agree that Arteta deserves more time. But if performances and results don't improve dramatically, I can see him gone before 2022. Who takes over? That's another matter...

Arteta has to go if we lose to Norwich. The longer he stays the worse it will become. I dont get why he is picking players he wants rid of and leaving his own signings on the bench. That is just incompetence
As for OGS .I dont recall him taking United to the bottom 3 with 0 points and 0 goals. If that happened I think he would have been sacked

And West ham finishing above both was the final nail in Sandy's
It was a shame West Ham missed out on top 4 as then 5 english teams would have made the CL. Just one bad result for west ham cost them.
The clown OP was defending Artitler for the best part of a year and cried for him to be backed in the Summer and now has the audacity to criticise the board for giving him what he wanted.

There seems to be this ludicrous idea that as Arsenal fans we have unrealistic expectations. It could not be further from the truth. We want to see progress. We want something to believe in. All the comments that Arteta deserves more time, or the covid issues, the fixture list, the unlucky refereeing (and we have had) is irrelevant - because we see no plan at all. We saw nothing last year. We saw nothing in pre-season, and we have seen nothing so far this season. It is as if the payers go out without a clue what to do. The football is (and has been) putrid. The sum of all our parts is well below what we are seeing. Yes the Kroenke's are a disaster and we will not get back up to the CL with them there. But if we want some progress - any - then Arteta has to go TODAY. We all know he will be sacked soon ( as we all knew Emery would be sacked) - it's just a question of whether we give a new manager time to turn things round, or if we write off this season already
If Arteta is sacked, I hope we get a proven experienced manager with a winning mentality. Knowing the board, they would probably employ Sol Campbell
