I would go along with that. Everyone did their job but no real stellar performances apart from maybe PEH, mainly because they didn't need to be.

Dele starting to show his former self with a few flicks etc, seems to be getting his confidence back, hope he keeps improving as he gets more used to the CM position.

What’s your likely first choice defence?

The football may be bad to watch but I think Nuno is what you need.

How can you give the CBs 6.5 and say they were solid? I get they weren't stretched too much but they didn't put a foot wrong really.

Tanganga (unless we sign a new RB) and Reguilón will definitely be starting most weeks. Then you'd expect Romero to come into the side sooner or later given the fee we paid. Unclear who is gonna partner him out of Dier and Sanchez

I thought Spurs did alright today. Never needing to get out of first gear, it was a typical early-season game where no-one needed to over-exert themselves against a side who, if we’re honest, will be relegated if they continue to play like that.

Good three points for Spurs

Pretty much that reason really, they could easily go to 7 but it’s not like they made any good defensive actions really. It was so simple

Sanchez block the 1st half was a goal scoring block. I get your point and to an extent I agree, but if CBs keep a clean sheet then id be inclined to go slightly higher. Maybe 7 each at least

2nd half we were better and created more. Should have been more goals, but never looked like conceding.

Lloris 6
Reguilón 6
Sanchez 7
Dier 7
Tanganga 6
Hojbjerg 7.5
Skipp 7
Dele 6
Bergwijn 7
Kane 7
Son 7

Forgettable match

Feeling theres gonna be quite a few of them this season

We need a baller in CM in these type of games where they sit behind the ball, there was too much safe passing at times, it is a shame Ndombele can not be arst, because he is the kind of baller we need.

Skipp and Hojbjerg are both great but quite similar

Just on way home from a poor match. We were turgid and played too slowly at times. When we played quickly we looked much better.
Watford were actually the better side for the first 25 minutes, we were wide open down our right flank. The keeper should have stopped the goal too.
We desperately need someone creative in midfield, I thought Skipp did well and Kane is short of match practise.
We seemed to improve once Lucas came on, we had more urgency and direction and it could have resulted in
another goal on a couple of occasions.
Still top of the league after 3 games, would have taken that a month ago, especially with Arsenal bottom😉

Sissoko was a probably our best player

I think the one thing Lucas did best was play on the right unlike our other attackers

I'd give Lucas the nod instead of Stevie at Palace in a couple of weeks

Need somebody who is going to get a few goals, not sure bergwijn or moura will, hopefully Dele or Lo Celso maybe, 1-0 at home to Watford won't get us far

Yeah we do. Bale, Vinicius and Lamela got 30 goals last season between them. We're not even playing Ndombele anymore either and he got 6.

Dele is too deep to get the kind of goals he used to and only scored last week cause Kane wasn't playing. Berg and Moura won't get enough. Gil is not much of a goalscorer yet.

The team desperately needs some goalscoring backup and Traore certainly isn't the answer to that as we saw again today.

This sort of negativity is very disheartening. If you're not happy when we're top of the league when will you be? If us fans can't enjoy the feeling of winning and doing well what's the point.
