He does seem to have a bizarre obsession with Pogba to be fair. Surprised sky haven’t asked him to tone it down a bit as it does raise questions about why he targets him. His comment after he got 4 assists against Leeds saying that’s what he should be doing for that money came across as very pathetic considering there’s only been a handful of players to get 4 assists in one game in the entire history of the league

They unfortunately had to witness their toothless display against Chelsea against ten at home. Desperately try to defend their squad depth while looking at their bench yesterday with nothing to try change things vs Chelsea.

First actual difficult game they’ve had and that was an embarrassment.

Needless to say they want to try insult United who just won and signed another world class player.

He wont be that critical of Grealish. There are/were many expensive inconsistent players in the league, but Souness never went after any of them with such vigorous resentment.

Its not suprising really, lots of people in his age catogary cant stand charismatic black men. He just happen to be brazen about it on TV.

You don’t know your history of English football if you aren’t aware that Sky saved many lower league clubs and funnelled loads of cash into the Endsleigh league. When Sky came along they blew ITV out of the water, then came to the rescue for many lower league clubs when ITV digital went bust. Sky did more to save English football than Man United did for Sky

Sky tried to buy us for a reason. We made their brand credible with our success. Also ITV digital went bust in 2002, again at the height of our success so Sky’s money would’ve just been because of us.

Yes, I know itv digital went bust in 02. And Sky stepped in to save loads of lower league sides who faced ruin.

The PL blew up because of the money Sky brought to it, which meant players like Cantona, Zola, Ravanelli etc could be drawn to the league. The players then boosted the reputation of the league and made it more appealing to the global market. Pretending that United made the PL what it is is nonsense.

The Premier league needs a strong Man United we are the biggest draw worldwide in it, signing Ronaldo and the interest it creates is huge for the prem, whatever you think Man United drove the success of the premier league for tv rights around the world and the rest have benefited hugely.

I used to like Souness as a pundit. He is harsh but objective. But the objectivity goes out of the window when it comes to Pogba.

I dont think he is a racist pe se, but his subconscious biases take over when talking about Pogba. He has consistently been resentful. You dont see such behavior when he is talking about other players.

Yeah he's becoming an embarrassment now. He used to be good but it's so cringe worthy watching him. I feel sorry for him as even current and ex players must cringe also currently.

However, why sky have a pundit who has never played in the PL and has no idea of the demands of the current day player is beyond me!

Yep his dismissal of any praise for pogba when he got 4 assists was just disrespectful.

2. Why wasn’t he ranting and raving yesterday that lukaku didn’t score or assist if it’s ‘expected’ of a 100m player

Souness fancies himself as a hard man. Keane IS a hard man. Keane was a better footballer and shows that he has a sense of humour as well. His comments are often constructive while Souness prefers to criticise.
