OK the AMN situation is beginning to make a little more sense now.
Should be interesting what pops off now though because Arteta's no doubt going to throw a fit over AMN's tweet. Clearly Ains wasn't told that Hector would be leaving when being told that his transfer was being blocked. Poor man management from Arteta strikes again.

Not really. RBs are now Tomiyasu, Chambers and Soares. If anything, it should be Tomiyasu, AMN and... that's it.

Hadn't seen that yet, only that AMN had been blocked and then this post 5 mins later. Just read about the Japanese kid in the 7 mins since my comment. Truly baffled again as to what Arteta is doing though. I assumed that after stomping on his career all last season he'd be content to let him go just to reduce his netspend this summer.
To force him to stay so he can prevent him from playing is seriously messed up.
Should sell the whole squad and shut the pathetic club down. I am off to support Ronaldo

There was mention of Bellerin taking a pay cut… maybe he signed a new contract with a short extension and reduced wages prior to being loaned out? There’s no option to buy so that way he’d still have value after his loan ends

Yes but if he does well at Real Betus he’ll have value, and without extending his contract he’d leave for peanuts, whereas if it’s extended we’d get decent money for him. Seems like a no-brainer to me
