I'm not sure where I read it...but the likes of Salah & Van Dijk got around 400k the seasons we won the CL and PL. Hence our wage bill being through the roof.

Mane, Alisson, Firmino, wont be far behind them either.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah you must have had some significant bonuses given how much wages increased. Still the better way to do it though.

Good analogy pride๐Ÿ‘
Too bad that scoucers are too thick to understand it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not a good analogy whatsoever. A hospital is not a business FFS. It's a public service.

I know people think football is something far greater but it's just a regular business.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Your response makes it just seem like you don't actually understand the issue.

Always good for financial analysis of football clubs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the TL:DR version of that is Liverpool’s revenue just about covers operating expense.

The 200m in profit from the last 3 seasons was generated by player sales. Without those they would’ve broken even.

They’re a sell to buy club then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So how incredible is it that we have achieved what we have. Klopp.

Also you and Tottenham are the only teams who made an operating profit so what is wrong with the Glaziers taking some of that for debt/dividends considering they outspend every other club at the same time as doing this. All this thread is doing is making me think your fans are well off with the protests.

Yeah it all but confirms of Barcelona weren’t bonkers enough to give you that money so you could spend what you did for Klopp you’d still be waiting for a PL.

Every bit of profit after furnishing the side and fixing the facilities should have gone to paying down debt. If they had spent what they have on players, renovated old trafford and wiped the debt they saddled us with them I don’t think anyone would complain about them getting a slice

Who would you rather have as owners?
Glazers or Stan Kroenke?

But only about £100m has gone as dividends the rest of the money they've taken out has been paying down the debt.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
not the whole picture and wrong numbers

they saddled the club with 1.1bn in debt
they've only paid 240m of that off while taking 125m out for just themselves
due to that we have paid 700 odd million in interest

that 125m they've taken could've not only reduced debt but also as a follow on lowered interest payments.

until the debt is gone they should've focussed on that not their back pocket. They have basically spent as much on capital expenditure (i.e Old Trafford, training facilities etc) as they have given to themselves.

now granted next season we can start looking at a new kit deal and im sure that will be a monster and there's no real concerns about the 'health' of united finances but if they'd have focussed on getting united debt free they'd be getting a lot less negativity

posted on 1/9/21

So if they had used their own money to buy the club, and since taken out £800m, but in dividends, would we still be seething?

posted on 1/9/21

I think you believe they’ve invested strongly in the team
Strongly in the underlying assets like the stadium
Then excess profit is theirs to do as they feel provided it doesn’t leave us hamstrung in the future so as long as there was a solid cash reserve for rainy days

That Swiss Ramble link has United’s debt at £511m

I dunno guys but it seems to be that the main issue with the mancs is they never wanted the glaziers day one and irrepective of what goes on they won't want them thereafter.

was it 2004? coincidentally when chelsea launched their oil doping ways

they were grinning and bearing it when ronaldo and all that were swanning about winning stuff obviously but started up again in when about 2010 or so when the debt stuff and not repaying loans resurfaced.

funnilly is seems not to matter how much money is put in theres an excuse to batter the galziers cos man city are winning everything. Be it not investing enough. not painting the steel (the garry neville mantra) or leaving ed woodward in charge etc etc.

the reality of "big club" fan bases is they don't know they are born and expect everything solid gold, not even gold plated. woe betide anyone making do with regular taps when they must be gold etc.

Man utd have a grossly expensive keeper on a massive wage, massively expensive full backs (when they were signed AWB and shaw were massively expensive) soild gold CBS (according to some) in maguire and varane, a very expensive fred LOL. One home grown player in mctiminay, massively expensive midfielders like pogrba and fernandes, massively expensive attacker like ronaldo and sancho and cavani along with the hme grown saint Rashford.

People should just admit they don't like the glaziers and stop making excuses. nothing will ever be good enough for some.

Buying Ronaldo was the nearest they’ve got to launching a charm offensive but I imagine they can wear the scapegoat mantel as long as they can pay themselves a huge annual dividend
