Off night tonight for Kane for sure, missed three good chances (although still scored and always scored even when he’s off his game). This is just desperation from the City plastics - oh that guy didn’t have a great game let’s go buy a different expensive player instead

Facking pansies. Where were you when you were sheite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of us (on here) lived through the sheite years, watching Stuart Pearce set teams out to sometimes cross the halfway line, so quit your holier than thou attitude. Pansy

An overwhelming majority of football fans have to deal with their team being sheet and in the lower divisions. What makes City fans so special that they deserve to be doped up more than any other fans?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fans like to feel special. Or did you pick Liverpool out of a hat?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is this supposed to be an answer to the question? Using the long suffering fans excuse to justify getting doped up is nonsense. I chose Liverpool because I love football and there is no other footballing institution in the world that is closer to my heart or that I have any links with.

I’m not really sure what your question is, why do city fans deserve to get doped up more than any other fans?

We’re from Manchester, there is a strong culture of being doped up 😂

Well don't come back waving the cheque book. Suits us fine pal.

Funny. Don't remember any of you lot saying this when you thought your "money get's us anything we want" was going to work.

Short memory and no class mate.

Loads of City fans didn’t want the club to buy Kane 😂

I've stated on here about 50 times that I didn't want us to buy Kane.

Kane is a 5 season wonder. Always knew he’d be exposed as a fraud

Kane is a good player but not nearly as good as some of the spurs fans think. And most would take haaland in a heartbeat.
I was hoping city would sign Kane because they wouldn't be nearly as unbeatable as they will be next year if they sign haaland.

Okay, here's my take. Kane is not as perfect as often made out. But he has scored a shedload of goals and made a load of assists. What more do you want?

People on other threads are panning Lukaku for not scoring enough goals or praising Salah because he scores goals and when it comes to Kane, suddenly we use a different measure, why?

He's 28 years old, scores 20+ most seasons, he's England captain, in short he has a high market value and is a very good player. Is he as good as Lewandowski? Probably not, but very few are. Kane would fit into almost any team.

Don't disagree with any of this.

He would, because he’s a better player. He suits City’s needs more and is a proven commodity. Haaland has age, but it doesn’t sound like he plans on sticking around at any one club for a long time anyway so it’s not a guarantee he offers more years than Kane.

LOL Dodged a bullet by not buying the Prem`s top scorer and top assister last season.

You couldn`t make it up.

He would still have sell-on value.

Kane's real value is decreasing every year because of his age.

What an insightful post, every players real value decreases because of their age.

Players are quite capable of playing up until their late 30s, so Kane probably still has nearly 10 years left in him. He will still command top dollar in any transfer market.

Really?

So if a club signed Bellingham or Haarland, the players value would start to decrease immediately.

posted on 7/9/21

Player's values usually hold or increase until they are around 30 years old. Then, it depends on how badly a club wants them. City were prepared to pay 100m for Messi last season for example. Lewandowski, at 33, is still worth between 60 - 100 million. But if he scores you 20 goals a season for 3 seasons, it's money well spent. Nowadays, if players look after themselves, they can still play at the top well into their 30s. Kane still has a lot of years in him.

Harry Kane is likely to become at least the 2nd highest PL goal scorer of all time (2 seasons of 20 goals will achieve this) scoring at a rate of 2 every 3 games and is also likley to be England's highest goal scorer of all time.

Spurs fans rightly right Kane very highly because he is world class.

He is different to Haaland. Kane is an all round striker and has superb vision and this is why he was targeted by City as he'd fit extremely well in to their more fluid system. Haaland is a physical beast and deadly finisher and perhaps at this stage of his career doesnt really suit City under Pep
