need of course 2 quick CB for back 4, but would give extra midfielder and attacking options, we are a decent team I have been impressed

Could in my opinion play a back 4 with 1 quick cb as our full backs are reasonably quick

Whether we play 4 at the back is entirely down to how important Bruno thinks Coady is to the set up and as captain. Nothing from the defensive performances so far to suggest the need for change to the set up, Bigger question mark is whether Boly will be recalled at the expense of Saiss. Kilman has become a genuine quality Premier League centre back.

Midfield we appear to be stuck with what we have. With Neves in outstanding form that’s no big deal, just the question on whether Moutinho can maintain his form week in week out over a long season. Semedo didn’t have the best of games yesterday but credit to him making the runs to have two good scoring chances.

Up front Traore has his place nailed down and there were good signs from Jimenez yesterday that he is getting his game together. Trincao was outstanding in the first half but then faded. With Hwang and Podence making an impact when they came on we do have some decent options now.

Do you think the Koreans enjoyed our second goal yesterday?

The back three are doing well at the moment and so I see no reason for a change. Our other defenders will have to wait for either an injury or a drop in form. Bruno wants two for every position and bar the midfield I believe we have that now. For both Dendonker and Ait-Nouri to be on the bench and not be used emphasizes the strength in depth we have now and confirms the belief that we are a stronger squad now than last season.

Podence is getting back to his best and we still have Neto to return. So overall we have a strong chance of finishing in the top half.

Be interesting to see who Boly replaces. We all assume it will be Saiss but Nuno pulled Kilman. I hope Bruno doesn't do the same as Kilman would be the last of the defenders to drop for me.

Not sure how long Bruno is going to be able to leave Podence on the bench either. Only played 90 odd minutes in all comps this season and been very productive. Think he fits our style well also.

I think we might see Boly and Kilman in a four.

Yeah I suspect Brunos initial plan will have been a four. Us looking pretty good defensively will have stalled him for a bit. Not too bothered personally right now, under Nuno it made us very negative but Bruno still keeps us on the front foot.

Bruno has us on the front foot, but fact remains that OG is still our joint top scorer. More often than not, our three at the back are up against a lone central striker and we are a man short in midfield.

The future is 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1

Or we could just stick with the formation we have now. It's madness to try to read too much into the goals for situation yet. Everyone can see we are making chances and, yes, in 3 of the 4 games those chances haven't been converted. If, after 4 more games we have only scored 2 more then maybe it will be time to start drawing conclusions.

At some point (hopefully) we will have Jimenez, Hwang, Fabio, Traore, Podence, Trincao and Neto all desperate to play. If that lot don't get us some goals I will be the first to admit I'm talking ballocks.

Watched the highlights of the Brentford v Brighton game today. Brentford are an open attacking team and Toney certainly a good leader of their front line. Promises to be a really entertaining game at Molineux on Saturday.

It’s a bit of a who’s who of top European clubs when you look at the teams with the most successful dribbles so far the season. Bayern 2nd, PSG 3rd, Real Madrid 4th, Athletico Madrid 5th.

Wolves are top through

Wolves 2 goals
Bayern 13
PSG 16
Real Madrid 13

Some end product needed then?

I think Black Country is trying to convince us that Bayern, PSG and Real have better teams than Wolves. What would this forum be without his wisdom 😂

Good to see that Bruno Jordao is back in the gym at Compton after his surgery
