A draw wouldn't be a bad result at Palace with the injuries and the lack of preparation we've had to endure. Palace done well at West Ham, that will give them confidence. Gallagher looks like a player in form, Zaha always steps it up against us. We should have enough on paper but it would feel a bit different coming away with the 3 points.
I for one certainly don’t begrudge you enjoying your fine start. It’s a great feeling and a position we’d all like to be in.
There’s a certain attitude far too prevalent on this forum that the league title can’t be won in September. Yes it can, in this respect; I’ve lost count of the number of seasons where we’ve been desperate to pick up points during the run-in. Points that we certainly should not have dropped during the previous Aug/Sept.
It’s encouraging, and vital sometimes, to have had the start you’ve had.
We finally got our act together against W.Ham last time out but i can't see us getting anything out of this game.
We'll huff n puff as usual but 3-1 Spurs.

Very good post, and whilst I am not suggesting Spurs are going to in the title, better to to have got off to the start that Spurs have, than to to not. Winning breeds confidence, and sometimes teams just go on winning runs. Leicester did it when they won the title. Everybody dismissed them, and they just kept going and going it happens from time to time.

Let's not kid ourselves, a draw would be a terrible result. Palace is a team that most title challengers would expect to beat, and we need to keep the pressure on the chasing pack.

As for Palace. A tough game IMO. New manager who will take a bit of time to get things right but they have improved over their 3 games and will pose a threat, especially to our defence which will be inexperienced, probably never played together before with a debutant, a rookie, a cart horse and a enthusiastic young Spaniard.
Think you mean right back to the Ronaldo show then ?
There are currently ELEVEN separate articles currently on the BBC website talking about every possible thing Ronaldo.
What with Sky's obsession with all things Utd, and the BBC, the producer's of which seem to need some sort of therapy to stop their Ronald obsession, it appears anything that anyone else may do this weekend probably won't get reported.
World gone mad.

Hate to be negative (there’s no question its been a great start) BUT Let’s be honest, there has been zero expectation on Spurs so far (Kane situation hanging over us, an underwhelming window & now the Argie covid shambles). With what looks like a number of injuries, suspensions, an unresolved situation with our record signing and Spurs sitting top with a target on their back…… Tomorrow has all the makings of a typical Spurs fack up…… I’d take a draw now
Sorry to say Sandy but think we are going to lose or draw tomorrow unfortunately. We never play well at Selhurst park and with their fans in full voice tomorrow, I reckon they will get a result

Don, not sure where you get your info from, but Spurs have only lost six times to Palace since 1992, and that includes two FA Cup games, two losses at WHL. And only two losses at Selhurst Park in the League in 30 years.
Spurs have won plenty of games at Palace, including a run of I think four in a row quite recently in the league at Selhurst Park.
Spurs really should be winning this game mate.

We have drawn our last 2 away games against them mate. They always cause us issues. I don’t ever remember going to palace away and smashing them. We should win but I can just see a typical Spurs f** up. Crashing back down to earth.
" It is absolutely a sign of a good team in the making, that without playing outstanding footie, the results still keep coming."
I always hate this line. Lazy pundits like to say "it's a good sign when you're playing badly but still winning". No it's not. If you're consistently playing badly then the results will eventually reflect that, much like it did last season. Our position at the top after 12 games couldn't have been a more flattering position. Balance ensued.
If you break each game down realistically without spin then this is where we are...
1. City game was a fantastic defensive performance, in a game of few chances.
2. Wolves ran us ragged for at least 60 mins. They had 25 shots in total to our 8 and we only scored a pen to win by another narrow margin.
3. Watford looked good in spells against us, but again won by a narrow 1 goal margin that owed a lot to the fortune of Son's delivery. It wasn't even an attempted shot.
We look more solid, granted, and that owes a lot to PEH and Skipp both protecting what we know is an inconsistent CF pairing but we are struggling to create. Those are the realities of where we are. It's a good start points wise but an okay start performance wise.
Like some others that have posted on here, i think we may drop points tomorrow. Selhurst is a rough place to go at times. We've lost there a few times in recent years and their results aren't doing their performances justice. They've also now got Edouard up top for them that could make the difference.
I'm going 1-1
Oh, and I totally agree - the international break is just painful. So feckin boring.

I have just pointed out Don, that Spurs have only lost twice in 30 years at Selhurst, so why are you spinning it to make out Spurs never do well there, when they clearly have a great record there.
Now if you said our record at The Emirates, Stamford Bridge, Anfield was poor you may have a point.

Spurs are not constantly playing badly this season though are they. In fact I would say they are playing rather well.
Wolves had 25 shots, most of which hit the corner flag. Real chances in the match, Spurs had more, and deservedly won.
Watford had one decent chance, Spurs had several. Easy win, margin should have been something like 3 or 4-1.
Man City was a deserved win, and they caused Spurs very little trouble throughout the whole 90 minutes.
Spurs absolutely deserve their nine points this season.

Sorry to say Sandy but think we are going to lose or draw tomorrow unfortunately. We never play well at Selhurst park and with their fans in full voice tomorrow, I reckon they will get a result

Not like you ti be negative Don.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sky are hoping that by obsessing about Ronaldo nobody will notice that Kane didn't leave us despite their childish overexcited assurances that he would.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or maybe, it's a much bigger deal than some London derby, of sorts. You know a player that's won more than most clubs, yours included.
