You’re slacking this season son
Put it on a plate for Bruno's tap in to be fair
One assist was a sideways pass for Bruno to score from 25 yards tbf
Now we have better players, you will see more assists from Pogba.

They all count! Glad he went for the simple side ways pass rather than trying a fancy flick trick and through ball
He also looked absolutely delighted with his team mates in all the goal celebrations. Smiles, high fives, and even hugs akimbo.
Think he is happier at OT than he has been up until now.
Just waiting on his agent to throw a destabilising comment this week.
On a wider note, people were complaining that Newcastle got past us with ease a couple of times... I think this is a tactical risk we are willing to take to allow Pogba to operate further up the field. Too risky against big teams, but against the like of Newcastle, it should be ok and the defence will mop up most of the danger as they get used to each other.

such a shame, before he started to post we'd all heard he was a hybrid of swift/shelley/dostoevsky, that he was going to tear up this board, be up for the ja606 pulitzer.
now he's reduced to nonsensical dribbling (see also bebe) and being beaten to the punch by ruiney

It is ridiculous what counts as an assist.
But it's been like this for ages.
Remember people creaming themselves at the number of Fabregas assists at Chelsea one season.
This included a sideways pass to Hazard on the touchline. He cut inside, beat 3 or 4 players and put in the bottom corner. Commentator creaming himself 'yet another assist from Fabregas!'.
in an entirely unpredictable turn of events, an article designed to encourage a bit of praise for a much-maligned player has now turned into a session of "well that wasn't really an assist was it...we're not going to give him credit for that?"
Personally, I take little notice of the “assists” stats. Pretty much meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
A bit like that “expected goals” nonsense.
While some assists are meaningless as stats, I do think this will even out. A player with a lot of assists will have some where he played a simple sideways ball to a guy who then beat three and scored a screamer, but there will also be goals where he set up the move, played the crucial pass before the assist etc. Take them with a pinch of salt, yes, but they’re usually signs of creative players who make things happen.
Pogba’s ‘assist’ to Bruno yesterday wasn’t really an assist at all. Then that was a really nice set-up for Lingard’s goal, but Martial probably deserves an assist as well for that dummy that created a vital moment of time and space.

Well, tbf, you expect that from a £100m player...
Playing really well though. Player of the season so far.
It's true about the limitation of assists stats. But I imagine Pogba's current form is also reflected in various other metrics, such as progressive passes, chances created, expected assists.

Jesus Christ.
Who cares about the stats, just enjoy how he’s started this season.
These stats show he's linking up well with the team and maybe that might make him stay with Utd beyond this season. If he goes, then fack his stats.

I'm happy with that trade off in games we should be winning.
I also think the main thing Ronaldo will give us, even more than his undoubted on pitch quality, is his winning mentality. I liked the fact he talked about winning the PL yesterday. Putting a bit of pressure on these players to take that final, winning, step isn't a bad thing and the next stage of the squad's evolution.

Do you think we should play with more than one?
Feasible under Graham Taylor-style hoofball.
To be fair to the Bitters, Leicester committed to that yesterday.
