Is that really a good thing?

People wanting to work under the soft touch manager, that's hardly much of a surprise. But not exactly what you'd want from a managerial point of view. You can't just be everyone's friend.

As an amateur footballer?

What is this garbage?

It depends on how strong minded and independent you are,but if you want an easy ride sort of thing,I'd go for Ole !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True, if your strong minded and independent you certainly don't want Pep.or Klopp, it has to be their way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Could you not argue a lack of scrutiny is an example of poor management?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't who was good or bad.
If I play for Ole I'm playing at a club I support, playing for a club legend, getting top wages, currently top of the league. I don't need to think about it. It would be a dream come true
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What if it’s Ole at Cardiff? You’d be getting relegated
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What if it’s klopp at Mainz? You’d be getting relegated.

What if it’s Teuchel at PSG? You’d have one of the best attacks in the amateur football league and he’d get sacked mid season for being second in the tier 5 division.

I think you've completely misunderstood the article tbf.

If I was a top class player, I would find it hard to take Ole seriously to be honest.
So anyone but him, to save me taking the p1 55 out of the boss, which isn't good for team spirit I imagine. 🙂

I would be quite happy for Ole to manage any team other than City

If only you could read you could answer the question. Sadly...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly I can’t

Probably Klopp. I’d like to listen in to Pep.

Just on the op, that’s one of the myths about Pep. His style I’d argue is more regimented than any other.

People are harsh on Ole. The Utd squad seem like a happy and focused group, seems like a good guy to work for. And tbh, he comes across as a pretty likeable fella. I wouldn't want him managing my team but I wouldn't mind playing for him.

Rodgers I'd struggle to take seriously with some of his Brent'isms. Plus as a manager I don't find him particularly charismatic.

Tuchel is too defensively minded plus as a player you'd know he'll fall out with the club hierarchy in 2 seasons and leave!

Pep and Klopp would both be intense in different ways. I think Klopp demands a physical and emotional intensity whereas Pep is more tactical intensity. Personally I'm not sure how I'd respond if I'd played well, came off the pitch and the manager asked me why in the 34th minute I hadn't shielded the ball correctly....

Personally - Klopp (because I'm biased) but probably Ole second.

From the perspective of being a player it would be Pep. I would be likely to learn more from him than any of the others.

As you can tell by most other responses on the article, it's quite strictly who would you play under.

I'm not too sure why you think I'd be bothered about Ole losing his job tbh...

No it shouldn't, but successful managers are not those who try to befriend everybody that they manage. You can like your manager and your manager can like you, but when all is said and done, the manager is there to manage.

Yeah, I don't see Guardiola as 'freeform'. The criticism that Solskjaer gets is that (like Mourinho) there's relatively little emphasis on drilled attacking patterns.

The United fans will say Ole.

The City fans will say Pep.

The Chelsea fans will say Tuchel.

When we all know that the correct answer is that everyone would love to play under and get hugs off Klopp.
