Dell could lock them out of moor farm and the company who owns pride park could go the same

The training ground, stadium are linked. Without the club, the training ground and stadium have no value other than as building land. Mel owns the Stadium, or rather one of his companies does.

Let's wait for more comms to come out before jumping to conclusions.

I cannot see the club collapsing and no longer existing. There's interested parties in the club, there's also the added pressure of angry fans baying for MM's blood for putting the club into administration now.

He needs to pass the baton on to someone who can take care of the club, whether that be Horton, Dell or someone else.

Apparently a takeover is 48 hours away

Any ideas who ? And have they already passed the EFL tests ?

Do we still play tomorrow?

Horton has always been in the front runner from my understandings and the discussions that have taken place.

Surely this means there si absolutely no way that MM can remain in the board in any capacity.

Well it's nice of Mel to sacrifice you lot to try and keep Forest up, but I'm not sure that it's going to work.

So that will be a 21 point deduction then Mr Morris.

At least we won't finish bottom.

What would you do RFB, if Derby were to finish above Forest after that pending points deduction?

Now after your collapse v Stoke last season that would be properly funny.

The EFL have to take some flack for this too. Their governance has been pi55 poor from the start. N they've fiddled as we've burned. I'd like to see who's holding those mother f*****z accountable.

Covid, EFL incompetence and Mel's original sin (player amortization, despite obviously no policies n procedures from the EFL to provide clarity) have created this mess.

The EFL have not acted in good faith throughout this process. I don't know the ins n outs obviously, seems like the whole matter never went to mediation.

The EFL have driven us into administration through their own ineptitude and arguably spite. Now a 2 year transfer embargo amongst other penalties. Go to f55k.

All OUT

I think the administration will fall into 3 parts

Part1 The operating companies for the club .. dealt with as a regular administration where the creditors get a percentage of their money back . The more bidders the higher this amount will be . But is Normally very low pence in the pound .

Part2 The” footballing debts” have to be agreed separately with the EFL . If the buyers can’t show 100% coverage of these debts and future commitments then the club loses the place in the division and possibly the entire league . Football debts are defined in detail by the EFL to protect the pyramid and players . Covers transfer fees owed and salaries … and put potentially a load of other things considered special and above the standard company admin process by the EFL

Part3 Assuming the company or companies that own the buildings and land then a separate negotiation with the owner of the ground and moor farm to buy these assets as a going concern would take place in parallel . Value of these drops to just land prices if there is no club to play and train there . If the club is made non league then the value also drops on these assets . Potential for a lease arrangement in either the long or short term .

The administration might be a pre-pack ie it’s already decided in advance with the administrations bar totting up the cash and getting EFL agreement to the new owners

I guess there is a strong possibility of you not finishing the season which is terrible. If your record, such as it is, is expunged it means we lose our solitary point.

What a way to finish the week and just hours before our next game!
It seems we will get a 12 point deduction for going into admin but what else could be thrown at us?
At present it's really difficult to know how an administrator will proceed as we do not know who owns what - ground, academy etc. When we are told the Club is going into admin what is meant by "Club"? Obviously the administrator will be looking at all the assets of the body going into admin but do we know the exact identity and scope of that body? So much will depend on how the various assets are spread around different companies and who owns those companies.
Looking at Wigan their starting point seemed to be a fire sale of players but the transfer window has closed so I assume that can't happen til January. I think the only hope is if the administrator can find a buyer for the "club" and quickly. Someone willing to take it on and discharge all debts and start from scratch. I have no idea exactly what assets that someone would be purchasing - all contracts, the ground, the academy, who knows?
Will our dear owner now have the decency to come out and explain exactly what administration will involve? Surely he can't plead confidentiality now!? At any rate he will no longer be involved with the running of the club!
I must say this possibility has been at the back of my mind for some time. Admin or insolvency usually seems to follow a long period of silence from owners.

And Rooney. Has been dignified and steadfast throughout. But what next?

I think there's an element of wait and see here too. Derby are the first but aren't going to be the last.

There might be extraordinary measures in place to cope with mass administration's. I imagine the EFL will want to stop a potential domino effect. I imagine creative accountants are in high demand.

Looks like we're the first guinea pig out of the hatch. Trailblazing.... it had to be Derby.

F**k the EFL still though.

Yeah but what message does it send to the rest of the clubs if the EFL go in for the kill.

Fudge or be Fudged.
