They were good in their day and changed the way TV punditry worked
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the great goal scorers of all time
Yes a super pundit bringing much needed humour and dovetailed wonderfully with Iain St. John
Not without his demons and flaws mind you
But seemed a good guy in spite of that
RIP Jimmy

We will need to improve to beat Motherwell IMO
We have been quite flat
Not sure if Morelos is out but we do have injuries
A chance for Wright to lay a claim as Kent should probably be out on merit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure if Hagi is available
Kent needed dropped / rested
Hopefully not out for long and comes back refreshed and more like the player of last season

The old man still talks about watching greaves destroy us near single handed over those 2 games in the 60s
Sometimes great players and great performances stay with you

🤣still takes tablets for dizziness
Part of the joy of football is accepting sometimes the other team have great players
Spoiled over the years with some players I’ve had the “pleasure” of seeing us torn apart
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs got a standing ovation at ibrox
De Piero
Mario Kempes
Robert Prosonetski
Come to mind

Kempis had a lovely head of hair
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Front row of the just opened Copland stand upper that night
What a view it was
Kempes was dynamite and the flowing hair just added to the superstar look
Just saw the yellow card in the Luton Swansea game
Fek it’s about 3 x red cards
Mendieta is one i remember

At that time he was probably one of the top ten in the world. He was consistently brilliant.
Then he seemed to fizzle out. Was never sure what happened to him.
Greaves was a great player. Vaguely remember him as a player. My brother saw his quite a few times and rated him very highly....but not in the same class as Denis Law who was the main man when it came to strikers in his opinion.

Two great strikers at the same time is common
Up here we had Eduoard and Alfie
