Christ its been a while since a chapter. 1054 days

Ok so I've decided to read the Beserk manga. Just about to start the golden age arc. I've enjoyed it so far, although I have so many questions.

The golden age arc is amazing

It can be a bit psychologically affecting though

I dont know why the series starts with the Black Swordsman Arc and not with the Golden Age arc

Golden Age is like the prequel to the story

Its like if you read the Fellowship of the Ring then read the Hobbit and then went into Two Towers. Weird ordering

So should I have started with the golden age?

Its fine in order

I think Miura didnt expect to get picked up as a running series so he wrote his concept as a short story rather than start writing the full story

I also was like 'wtf is even happening' with the first arc

Golden Age Arc is among my favourite works of literature, it transcends the medium for me more than any other manga

I'll let you know how I get on with the rest.

High praise indeed.

Currently on volume 10 and the band of hawks are going back to save Griffith. The last few volumes have been excellent and I haven't been able to stop reading. The Guts and Casca relationship is great.

I see the Mangaka is back writing Hunter X Hunter..

Yeah and we are expecting like 10 chapters from Togashi

Mad times
