I don’t mind Mcilroy teeing off first - it’s a bit of a free hit. If he can play to the level he is capable of then it’s a win against one of America’s best, if he carries on playing like he has then he’d lose no matter who he faced

Don't think it's hindsight. I don't think many people wanted Poulter picked. Rose played well at the BMW and is a far better golfer, was the obvious choice.

Westy and Fitz is a terrible partnership. They're both too short and can't get on a par 5 in 2 shots. Very safety first pairing. Yet he did it twice and they lost twice.

Lowry was clearly underutilised. An open champion in windy conditions and he's not trusted in foursomes?

Even if Harrington got everything spot on we would probably be down 9-7 at best as the US team are so much better than us. But to go down without a fight, and be so poor tactically is a real shame.

Damage already done now. Would have had bit of hope at 9-7. 10-6 was a push cause these American players are awesome tbf. They're usually always better on paper but they're so strong and Europe have tried to rely on some of the old guard again

When the US get 6 wild card picks and we get 3, that doesn't help. They can go with form and players that suit the course.

And the US changed to this not that long ago. It isn’t really rocket science to be picking in form players.

At the start of this I said Europe would get trounced because the yanks had the most in form players.

I don’t think Europe would have won whoever they picked to be honest.

The European clothing is terrible (and has been everyday) two things that really hit you are that they look like flight attendants and that light colours are not good on big fellas.
