Mine would be Conte but I think we will go back for Fonseca on a short deal

I’d almost prefer us not to get Conte. Because if we do, then you have to ask yourself seriously what was the fercking point of the past 3-4 months.

But yeah, probably Conte.

Out of what is realistically available Marcelo Gallardo is the only one I want.

Oh I’m already past that, those 3-4 months were 3 clueless blokes getting turned down nearly as many times as Maf on a Friday night. Paratici can spot a player and I actually think we did well transfer wise this summer - just a shame Nuno doesn’t pick them. However he is clueless about managers. Unfortunately so are Levy and Hitchen and that’s what is scaring me

Potter or Conte for me. Then in Jan, we need to sell Kane, Ndombele, Alli and Winks (I realise it’s unlikely all in one window) and give the proceeds to the new manager.

Conte won't come. He saw right through Levy.

Would like Potter, but doubt he would join mid season. Rodgers may be a bit more realistic with Leicester faltering now.

Reckon it would be Fonseca if Nuno went after villa. Levy and Paratici could probably compromise on that.

Thomas Frank ?

posted on 28/9/21

One paper today reporting he was allowed to miss the after match press conference due to abuse from fans.

Didn't say if it was ours or arsenal.

That would be another joke appointment. If Nuno were to go before Xmas then the club will be admitting they facked up big time. The only way to resolve that is a statement signing to replace him and show the fans they have serious ambition to get us back on track, a facking plan. Fonseca would be just another cheap quick fix - no PL experience etc. Wouod be another disaster.

Fonseca wouldn't join, he was proper mugged of by the bald one.

posted on 28/9/21

We're facked. If that Telegraph article had any truth to it we won't be attracting any decent managers until Levy goes.

Who takes it? Who's left? Mason.. err.. Chris Houghton?

posted on 28/9/21

I can see baldy waiting (circling like a vulture) to get Koeman for free, to mitigate Nuno's exit fee

I agree, which is exactly why I think we will do it. We’re very unlikely to coax a decent manager out of a job at this stage and the other club would want huge compensation.

We’re in a right pickle, but I can’t see how we can go on with Nuno with the fans slaughtering the team for the awful football being played - quite right of the fans by the way.

On the flip side, someone like Mason taking over this early in the season could relegate us.

Do we just chuck loads of money at Conte or Zidane, they are the only 2 I can think of who are not working currently and the fans would instantly back

If there were 3 months of the season left and we were pretty much nailed on for a mid table finish then I would agree. Otherwise he goes in the Mason camp for me - he could actually relegate us. He hasn’t managed for a while and will be massively out of touch.

Haven't seen anything from him in a while.

I do like Thomas Frank I have to admit
Ok he’s got next to no experience in the top flight, and Brentford are just one of those promoted teams that do well in first 10 games that you get most years
But I just think he’s got something about him

What we need right now, is a good old positive “now the dust has settled” post from Sandy …..

For me Frank feels like one of those managers who work well under a certain holistic structure and he definitely isn’t going to get that at Spurs. Also why would he leave Brentford for us the way things are at the moment.

I'd rather have had Martinez than Nuno.
