I have Bear….just helping a mate with a small job
Rev, you would have actually enjoyed that game/performance, we actually created chances to score, we even had 7 yes 7 shots on target, in a game, not a season. I seriously hope we can build on this, as it stands there is actually something to feel optimistic about. The penalty was clumsy, typical Figs, Brice wasn’t perfect with his distribution and the midfield is work in progress, but the fullbacks and wide players were excellent, and the substations worked a treat. Barnsley weren’t very good, but you can only play what’s in front of you, let’s see what we can do at the Brum this weekend.
Cheers dave - I’ve just seen the highlights - I love the young hungry players, I really hope we can build around the and help them develop - they’ll cause most teams problems
A few stats to celebrate a fine win:
The race to 4 points:
Cooper - 2 games / Chris - 12 games (last 12)
The race to 6 goals:
Cooper / Reid - 3 games / Chris - 8 games (last 8)
Points Tally at season end - based on form - with CH starting the season:
Chris - 7 points / Reid - 118 points / Cooper & Reid - 92 points / Cooper - 80 points
Points Tally at season end - based on form - with Cooper + / or Reid starting the season:
Cooper - 92 points / Reid - 138 points / Cooper + Reid - 107 points
Grabban - League Goals:
Chris - 7 in 35 games / Since Chris left - 2 in 2 games / 3 this season / 6 last season
The pundits are right....we should have stuck with Chris.
Breath of fresh air last night, especialy the second half. Need to avoid being carried away though. Barnsley weren't very good; B'ham wont be very good either (although more physical), but we will meet stronger teams.
Need to sort out playing from the back as well. Samba's distribution was poor again and the back three dont always look comfortable receiving the ball and often give it back to him.
Need to put the scouts on red alert looking for a striker. We looked more potent when Grabban came on but cant afford to play him two games a week for 90 minutes a time.
Bren Johnson gets better every week. We will find it very hard to keep him next season; there could be some very big offers coming in for him.
The immediate future looks secure; hopefully we can remodel the squad a bit more in the next two windows and start to think about the playoffs.
Just watched Steve Cooper's interview on Youtube.
Brilliant. Full of positives, clear thinking, and appreciation of the fans.

Totally agree, it’s what’s been lacking over the past few years, having a manager with real passion to get the supporters fired up - he seems like he wants to connect that through the whole club - sounds all good to me - very positive
Have to say, I wasn’t overly impressed with Steve Cooper’s appointment, but after hearing him in the post match interview, I’ve already changed my opinion of him, and think…hope he could be a very good appointment
I like his approach and attitude - he seems to know exactly what needs doing and how to go about it
