No more Ramos to hold his hand

Don't remember Ramos being in the French world cup winning team
Warning signs were there at the Euros
Yeah he’s not looked great to be honest

Yeah he's certainly prone to mistakes
Hoping he does a David De Gea and finds his form and consistency

Does sound like something a PE teacher would do
Let's stick to the topic please
He’s not a bad defender he’s just not as good as he used to be. Real Madrid rarely sell players on an upward trajectory

Sneijder and Robben did well after leaving I suppose. Di Maria (even though he wasn't good at United) has also done well since. Makelele was a mistake they made.
I think Varane has done OK and we're certainly better defending set pieces this season and he has got his head to quite a few balls into the box..
Varane’s been okay. Being much better than Lindelof isn’t enough to transform how we defend as a team, though.
I’m not sure why you’d want to see Telles rotated more with Shaw, he’s not close to his level. He’s consistently our best performing player.
Makelele was a mistake for sure. Disagree with the rest. Real binned Robben to bring in Ronaldo. Great player Robben is but Ronaldo is a clear upgrade. Di Maria has never been as good for PSG as he was for Real. Sneijder is an iffy one cos he had one or two great seasons with Inter but not really one they would regret going. Even that being said, even if all 4 were on upward trajectories, it’s still a very small amount. More often than not they get it right when selling players at the right time
They sold him to help balance the books
I’ll wait till he’s had at least half a season before judging

maybe that is down to our new, set-piece coach?
Have to see how he goes, but he definitely seems to have a mistake or 2 in him.

There is probably that too which is good to see. Maybe I've been paying more attention to Varane as he's new but he does seem to get his head to a few balls into the box.
He’s done ok. Said at the time that he wouldn’t transformative like VVD or Dias.

And yet they can bid 160 million for a player out of contract in a year... go figure.

They actually bid over £200m supposedly

And? Lol. Sell varane to balance the books and then bid £200m+ for a player with 9 months on his contract. How does that work exactly?

Did you read anything at the time about how Real were able to make a bid like that in the middle of supposed financial problems?
Thought not
