Looking back on that half Ali was outrageously good, filling in all those gaps City tore out of us….
Gomez for Jones and Bobby for Jota at HT please

Silva is a baller, slightly built, small but getting the ball off him is like taking a fat man's pie off him

As poor as we’ve been, City have been excellent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Beyond Milner being run ragged by Foden, I'm not sure City have had to be that good today to be honest.
They have simply been dropping back into spaces, without being followed by an opposition player.
Pretty basic stuff.

Milner is finished and FSG penny pinching and not replacing Wijnaldum means we were relying on luck to not have key midfielders injured, predictably Thiago gets injured, and we don't really have a substitute for Jones (Keita and Ox are not good enough).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh be quiet. Milner has been great until today.

Also, can we stop letting Matip wander up to the halfway line with the ball.
This ain't that type of game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m fine with that, at least he’s trying to be positive. Only times we’ve looked like creating something is when he steps out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not.
On at least three occasions it resulted with him being caught up the pitch, and Milner being left one on one with Foden.
We are lucky they dont have the pace upfront otherwise they would have carved us open.

Milners fine just need to get him away from Foden and into the midfield

Foden is quick
Again thought another example of how much City’s team cost. Their back 5 alone (GK £35 million, RB £50 million, RCB 65 million, LCB £60 million, LB £60 million) let alone their forward options and their squad which is ridiculous.
Yes we have spent a Bob or 2 but no where near the amount they have. No excuse, they play amazing football, but no one has a chance really do they against a team owned by one the wealthiest countries in the world.

Silva’s been excellent, almost did a Maradonna. I think they’ve been good, outworking us and not giving us time on the ball.
If it was the other way round we’d be creaming ourselves….
Our high line is killing milner. Doesnt hav the pace to recover.

Prob be if Sterling comes on as he does have the pace.
We need to order the mod and go aggressive. But also get gomez for rb as that ball.over the top is exposing I
Miller.
Surprised, but maybe he’ll just get more cover for Milner.
Jones needs to show us now that he’s good enough
Got to do better in those positions
You will get chances this half, but it's limiting them theirs as well, defensively you'll pick up, can the midfield supply the forwards?

That’s a bit of an exaggeration imo. He clearly isn’t the finished article yet, so I’m not sure anyone can decide whether he’s good enough based on this half.
