Lingard would make sense, as would some players from Madrid/ Barca, probably some free transfers in the summer.
They haven’t spent much under Ashley, so I’d imagine they’ll be okay on FFP for a summer or two. It’ll be interesting.
depends who the manager is in January when the window opens
they'll want to make a statement signing
be interesting to see how it pans out
From the Top 6 they’d probably go for
Man City - Bernardo
Chelsea - Barkley
Liverpool - Origi
Utd - Lingard
Leicester - Madison
West Ham - Rice
Mbappe, Carvijal, Dembele, Goretzka, Christensen, Sule are all at the end of their contracts apparently, Pogba too
I’m sure some of those will already have plans, but the money Newcastle could offer, may turn some heads.
Lingard a great shout, Bernardo would be quality as well, Rice will go to one of the current powers

I remember City's signings before they got a good manager. They will probably get some overrated English tw at like Lingard or Calvert Lewin.

And City weren’t limited in being able to increase their wage bill in a way that Newcastle will be.

Both good players and a big upgrade impossible for the barcodes before tainted cash

Got to love the Saudi’s front it with a posh English woman and all will be just fine , she may somehow disappear if no Prem title in 5 years
Tbf she said their ambition is to win the title in the next 5-10 years. Get they impression they know they can’t just rock up and win it within a few years. Who they replace Bruce with will be quite revealing.
I can’t see Everton allowing DCL to leave, they’re not short of a bob or 2, but Lingard is a perfect buy, and it could lead to a bidding war with West Ham. The Hammers will be kicking themselves if they lost him to Newcastle.

Depends if we offer them more to take Fred
I can see them raiding Pool, a lot of their players are around 30 and have only 1 last mega contract in them, so would jump at the chance of the wages on offer.
Salah for example, he has just 18 months left on his Klanfield contract, approaching 30 and Pool will not be able to match the wages Newcastle will throw at him. You can bet his agent has already been approached.
The same applies to Mane and others, Pool`s owners are businessmen, and could see it as the right time to sell.
Kane is an option.
Maybe Lewandovski in the summer, only will have a year left on his contract.
Ndidi
Rice
Pogba on a free?
Bernardo
They could be challenging for top 4 next season, if they invest heavily.
They really should just go all out for Haaland
I'm sure they can fudge sponsorship deals etc like City do in order to skirt around FFP (if you even need to bother nowadays)

Kane is obvious target
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's an obvious target but I'm not sure at 28 he'll want to wait for as long as it will likely take for them to really challenge. Then again, he's unlikely to win anything at Spurs any time soon, whilst at least there is a very good chance that he could do so at Newcastle in time.
I really do hope Newcastle go down.
I think theyll look to poach from teams just below that top rung just now. The very best still arent going to go there just yet. That didnt happen with city.
Guys like calvert lewin, delle ali, maybe saka, tielemans, tyrone mings, adama traore, rafinha.
I could see them trying to make a big statement signing but again a haaland or mbappe isnt happening. They might push the boat out with a ridiculous offer for bellingham and almost see him as they guy to build this all round over the next 10 years but I still think thats of a stretch initially.
