We are an average test side. When you have Burns as opener and slip catcher constantly letting 6oy down it sets a tone. His dismissal yesterday was appalling. The odd decent score here and there is worth nothing when he does thing alike that when it actually matters. Not that we are blessed with openers as it is.

this is about right...what's Trescothic up to...doesn't even have to travel...he could phone an innings in better than what we have
This will be over on Day 4.
From the Telegraph:
'Soon after Ben Stokes' dismissal of David Warner was overturned for a front-foot no-ball, it was confirmed that the technology meant to pick up overstepping had failed.
Neither Stokes nor any other bowler’s no-balls were being called until a wicket arose. In 30 balls bowled by Stokes in the morning session on day two, 14 were no-balls. Only the wicket-taking delivery was called as one, when Warner was on just 17. He went on to make 94'.

Seriously what's the point of having days 4 and 5 at the weekend if the matches are gonna be over by days 3 or 4?

This is interesting. Had it picked up no balls, we would have lost a few extras but I'm sure the wicket would have been OK. That's looking at in a simple way, without considering every event changes the future etc

Never mind void series, a professional like Stokes should not be bowling continuous no balls, its an amateur mistake.
What difference does releasing the ball 2" closer to the batsman, sorry batter make FFS?
Very embarrassing england is
A heroic effort required now to scrape a draw and we will need more rain I'm sure.
I give us a 5% chance, 95% chance Australia wins this.
Anyone more optimistic than that?
would have to finish off the tail quickly, score 400 and bowl them out cheaply.
draw's out of the equation i'd think.
maybe 1 in 100.
If rain comes into it on the weekend we could have a situation where it becomes too risky for them to chase but only if we can polish them off quickly and bat big first.
Clutching at straws I know
I reckon England would need to lose 4 full sessions to rain minimum.
One step at a time I guess. We need them all out for not much more than a lead of 200 now. Then we need to go huge which looks impossible let alone unlikely. If we get there anything is possible, particularly if the pitch is deteriorating on day 4 and 5.
Against us though are the big efforts some of our bowlers put in yesterday. Robinson looked like he may have pulled something and Stokes' potential knee injury
I'm praying to the god of atheism.
Theres been no evidence in the last 4/5 years of England coming back from a huge deficit. They will lose by an innings or by 7/8 wickets. No chance at all.
Id like to think England will comeback in the series. they wont do that either..They wont even win a test. only weather will prevent a loss
Atheists dont have a god.. so why say crap like that?? let me guess your one of these theists brainwashed by a religion made up by human beings??
Crap like that? It was a joke. Lighten up you depressive bore.
*You're by the way.
I'm not brainwashed by anything. Religion is the single biggest thing that has held back the advancement of the human race. An outdated method of control with no fact or evidence behind it.
I like facts and evidence aka Science.
Also you've been nothing but negative on this article for 2 days now. You're depressing as fak.
