Clocks haven't changed in the UK yet have they?
Will be a case of which team is fresher after the international break I guess. We don't seem to do well after them.

Adders you're a star
Gem, you suggested Jimenez might not be ready to play after the international break. If that's the case I reckon that will be a big loss for us, even more than a possible loss of Martinez and Buendia for them might be.
Yes Mexico play El Salvador on Thursday and unless he's released early I can't see him travelling back from Mexico on Friday and be ready to play on Saturday. Hopefully Chang will pick up the baton and continue his goal run but Podence, Traore and Trincao are going to have to do the dirty work that Raul normally does.
Watched the first hour or so of the nations league final before giving up to go and watch some paint dry in search of entertainment. Just checked the result, looks like the goals started seconds after I switched off.
Hope Jimenez can play some part next weekend, the El Salvador game is actually kicking off on Wednesday evening local time, 7 hours behind us so it's possible he'll be back in the UK on Thursday, if a little jet lagged.

Well, I got back from Spain in the early hours of Sunday morning, I was back in the pub at lunchtime around 12.30pm if that’s anything to go by?
To add to the above, i circled the texas/Mexican border for over an hour the other day waiting out a storm over Phoenix, ended up having to land in El Paso to refuel but that's another story. But anyway, the point being, we entered and left Mexican airspace about eight times and still got home the same day and Raul only has to leave Mexican airspace once.

If this is true, given the 7 hour time difference, surely Raul should actually be available to play for us about half an hour before the El Salvador game kicks off?
If he flew back westwards, via the Pacific, he would gain 24 hours and be back on Wenesday.

Surely someone at the club should be looking into this?
Fosun Out!
As we saw last season, Wolves are toothless up front without Jimenez. We have a lot of decent forwards now but he is the only one that can play the centre forward role. All the others are better coming in from wide or at least down the channels

So basically, we're fooked then?
Only hope is to convince Fabio he is playing in an U23 game not Premier League. Just watched film of his goals and assists in Portugal’s U21 team last week and he is real quality at that level.
Otherwise we are fooked without Raul just as we have been for 3 years. Jose and Cutrone both failed miserably to cover his absence, maybe one day we’ll find someone who can
Has everyone forgotten that our leading goalscorer is Hwang and not Jimenez? He's more than capable of playing as a CF. Total bollox as usual that no one other than Jimenez can fulfill that role.

Or to put it more diplomatically - I'm sorry Spangles but I can't agree with you opinion on that. In my opinion Hee Chan Whang is quite capable of fulfilling the central striker role.
I have watched every minute of every game this season and I have never seen Whang play centrally. He has scored all his goals when playing in the channels and let's not forget that his last two goals were both scored as a result of sublime assists from Jimenez.
You wouldn't have seen Whang play centrally, mainly because his name is Hwang.
If you watched the Newcastle game, you would have noticed that Jimenez collected the ball on the right and played it through to Hwang, who was ahead of him in the CF position. The second goal, Jimenez picked it up inside the Newcastle half and played it forward, again to Hwang, who was in a CF position.
I do sometimes wonder if we see the same game at times.
I have wondered for years if you watch the same games as other people and whether you understand what you are watching even when you do.
For both goals Jimenez dropped deep collected the ball with players marking him closely, beat those players then played through balls. Hwang came inside from the left channel for the first goal and from the right channel for the second.
On neither occasion would Hwang have had the chance to score but for the brilliant centre forward play of Jimenez.
The centre forward needs to have the ability to receive the ball back to goal in tight areas and still make things happen. Players that play wide and in the channels are more likely to receive the ball in space and more likely to receive the ball in front of them.
Hwang, Podence, Traore, Trincao, Costa, Cavaleiro can all be good when they receive the ball in front of them and in space. But none of them have the ability to do what Jimenez did in setting up those goals and wouldn’t be able to score the headed or other goals that Jimenez had produced many times for us in a crowded penalty area.
That’s why when Jimenez doesn’t play, or is getting up to speed after an injury, we don’t score many
Jimenez is vital to us, Hwang is more of a Jota type, an out to in kind of striker, he's not got the size really to play that central kind of role that Jimenez does. As we saw last season it doesnt really work when we go with the three smaller speedier guys up front. All teams need a big strong presence in attack to get in the end of crosses, hold up the ball and create as well as score goals and fortunately we have one of the best in the world but no even half decent back up.
No denying Jimenez was brilliant in setting up both goals. However, if Hwang didn't have the intelligence to put himself in the CF position, I doubt we'd have scored. Hwang actually started the move for the first goal from inside our own half. He wasn't wide or coming in from the left. For the second, he was in the middle of the park and again he moved into a CF position.
