Everything that was great about Total Recall was ruined in the remake. All the fun and mystery was sucked dry. They went from a trip to Mars to going to the centre of the Earth. Lame.
Oh yeah they already have with the TV Show
Tbf all the Hannibal Lector stuff has been well received
The only bad stuff actually came from the Anthony Hopkins era
The film called Hannibal was a mess
Blarmy, yeah maybe. Hannibal covered it as well, which is when the series kinda went downhill. Mads Mikkelsen is very good in that.

Dredd is great, so much better than the awful Stallone version. Dredd came out the same time as the Raid which was pretty much the same concept.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I never thought about that before but they are very similar films
I thought raid and raid 2 were very good
The fight scenes are very well choreographed and there is a brutal fight at the end of the 2nd one
My friend worked on those Van Damme Coors Lite ads and he refused to leave his hotel room for days, instead getting a load of hookers to his room. After a few days enough was enough so they had to kick his door in. Sh-t all over the walls, he was a mess.

Don't think Hannibal Rising was well received?
There was some freaky sh't in the Hannibal tv show, like the episode this guy was burying diabetics alive and turning them into living fungus

Thats technically part of the Hopkins era line isnt it?
Was Point Break (2015) a remake. I turned it off after 15 minutes it was so bad, so i never even got to see if it was a remake or just a modern spin-off type thing

He wasn't in that one, so not sure you can say it's his era. That one was the worst of the lot.
The Day The Earth Stood Still remake was poor, so was the Tom Cruise War of the Worlds. At least they've left Forbidden Planet alone so far.

I don't know, but the original with Lee Marvin was good, his best role in fact
Airplane was a good remake too.

I generally liked the show but it got a bit too far-fetched and artsy-fartsy for its own good. It's like every week someone wanted to display a murder scene like they were giving an exhibition for the Tate.

i assume you've said that twice to mimic the film?
but given that they actually use whole chunks of the dialogue from the original film, at times it is a word for word remake (though i believe the whole jive talk bit was new)!

That was point Blank. Don’t think Lee Marvin was surfin or sky diving in that.

I’m deadly serious, it’s a parody not a remake. And don’t call me Shirley.

I watched that again for the first time in years recently
Still found it mostly funny
Strike-her ….took me years to understand that joke (in my defence I was very young when I first saw it)

next you'll be telling us that we're not allowed shaving ryan's privates
It’s timeless. It’s the film I’ve seen the most times, it used to be on at least once a year on Film 4.
My favourite scene is this one.
