Giggs won loads but was crazily over rated imo. Had lots of injury problems and was super inconsistent. He was blessed with some class players around him, one of the best managers ever and was a poster boy.
His numbers were never super impressive and I'd say he was actually way better in the later part of his career. Scored a good FA cup goal and had a long career but not even close to the best for me.

Wenger
Got what we deserved with AOC. A player we won’t be able to shift for a fee. I can see a free transfer for him eventually presuming a club wants to take a risk paying his wages.
Our financial situation is well documented so I don’t think much will have changed come January.
So it makes sense to keep hold of the players we have eh?

AOC struck me as a oh we have loads of spare cash right now kind of move.
He got injured, had never ever looked right after it and therefore yeah we were always going to lose value on that transfer in pure monetary terms but we've lost even more due to that injury.
Ox as a fit player without his knee injury would probably have done alright for us, perhaps stopping us wasting money on ketia or then getting thiago but in the end we've gone from one to the other in train and none have me tout fitness requirements.
Ox btw look like he hits the gym way too much, maybe he has a natural body type that mr universe i dunno but he looks like a guy klopp would have told to get away from the gym and look on running but he just constantly looks muscle bound.
AOC is one of the great talents lost to injury. I think Klopp was happy to take the risk given the talent, but even without the benefit of hindsight that was quite a stretch. I put AOC and Studge in the same bracket. They could have been something without injury blighted careers…

Wigan Beater.
That’s right! What a player, best the PL has seen so far.
I actually think Giggs was underrated. He's never talked about among the greats of his era and he was a great in his era. Not sure who overrates him as even United fans don't overrate him, so who is it? The brother thing was diabolical but seems to cloud judgements when talking about the footballer.
Good article. Thanks for the read.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the fill in the blank game
