RIP Truly tragic and sad.
I'd never heard of him before but by all accounts he was a decent bloke.
The Far Right can't claim him as one of their own, the Far Left will struggle to make capital out of this senseless murder.
I'm sure some will try though.
Social media to blame again no doubt. Whipping people up into a madness. MP's need to give themselves a check and think about the language they use. Some of them talk as if they've been dragged up. Doesn't help the situation.
Decent bloke or not an MP should not be murdered like this. The ballot box is the way to remove them not murder.
Looking at his voting record there will undoubtedly be some people saying he would have made quite a few enemies but, that isn't the point. We can't have elected representatives murdered. Not only is it wrong on that person it also could stop really good people from wanting to step up and make a difference too.
So senseless.
They've caught the guy of killed him and I imagine like the person who killed Jo Cox, he'll get a Full Life Term.
2 months after the trial, only a handful of extremist nutters will even remember his name.
Not trying to be controversial but a full life term is a slap in the face to other victim's families like one life is more important than another.

Think he’s trying to say that murderers of other, “normal” folk are not given life terms; that someone gets one because they kill a politician implicates the politician’s life is more valuable than that of the layman.

Fair enough, anyone who murders a totally random or innocent person should get a FLT.
MP's have been receiving death threats and hate mail through their constituency offices for years, you'd think by now they should start to have security guards around them.
It's tragic when our democracy is dependant on politicians answering our questions and now it's seen as a fecking danger to their life.
Absolutely horrible news.
I wouldn’t be against using tax money to get them proper bodyguards
Political views will differ but at the end of the day they’re just doing their job (most of them do)
Makes you wonder how many cranks are still out there , absolutely awful news for a Tory he was decent MP I remember him from the 80s Basildon & Essex MP , sad news
This country really is going to the dogs.

The UK. Still reaping the benefits of the ever so precious 'diversity' that many constantly crave regardless of the impact it has on those already here?
Another sad day.
RIP David.
