Absolute suicide today to allow a 2 on 2 at the back for Utd. Mental by solsjkaer
I thought Tielemans was your best player today but some distance, and that's quite high praise after a very good performance. Yes, we were rubbish but Leicester could easily have scored more than the four, were it not for DDG. Well deserved win
"Tielemans: 8 - To be honest, part of this is just to wind up True Blue. Still the midfield general and the player relied upon."
I thought it was Tilly's best game for probably 18 months at least, still he was gifted the freedom of the park when we had the ball by an arrogant Utd midfield but he was also no better than any of the other outstanding contributers today, the list of players in dispatches is a long one.
Doh moment of the game was the muppet behind us who accidently cheered Utd's second goal giving his allegiance away, a nervy 15 minutes for him with all sorts of verbal Sh!te being thrown towards him
You’ve scored the players nightly that deserved it Dunge however I would give Evans MOTM purely for the influence he has. He makes every player he plays with better.
TB is right about Tielemans. He had a great game partly because he was allowed to. The problem we have to find the answer to is when Tielemans gets pressed how does the rest of the team create space for him.
I liked that Rodgers changed our formation and I liked that it worked so well. Pereira looked good again with his quick give and gos.
Good to see Rodgers getting us back to a level and getting a result. One thing I like about Rodgers is that he never panics during our dodgy spells abs he’s had an answer every time. This is the 3rd or 4th time we’ve come out of a rocky spell and perform again.
Nothing much to argue about there Dunge except Evans was MoM - what a difference he makes to our solidity at the back. It was great to see Ian giving Harry such a torrid afternoon.
How much longer does Solskjaer have - amazing he hadn't read the standard script about how to beat us with a high press? I had an interesting chat with a couple of United fans on the train to the match, one of them was deluded about Ole and reckoned he was a good manager, clearly if they had a better one they'd be challenging more strongly at the top, although I suspect they are still a couple of players short of winning the title.
There was much to enthuse about yesterday. Agreed that the opposition wasn’t really up to scratch but everybody had a good game for us. Tielemans ran the show and linked really well with Maddison but Evans’ contribution can’t be overstated because of the effect he has on others.
Bit surprised at a section of the fans booing Maguire though. He did a good job for us and brought in £80m. I never understood when Robbie Savage got consistently booed when he joined Derby. Always a wholehearted player who always raised his game when he got booed!
As far as Man Utd go I just wonder who agrees some of their transfers. Sancho was great in Germany, as was Timo Werner, but they don’t seem to be as good over here. Marquee signing Ronaldo was as ineffective as could be. Van De Beek? Mmm. If it hadn’t been for some decent saves by De Gea and some serious clogging by Matic, we could have had 8.
Savage got booed because he felt it appropriate to wind our fans up when I played for Brum kissing the badge and goading us. Deserved every boo he got after that and what’s more annoying is he couldn’t understand why we were so angry by it.
Maguire on the other hand has only ever been hugely respectful to our club and it’s fans. He always talks highly of us in the media. He left, we got 80m and a better defender in Fofana! We should cheer him every time he comes back!

Agree with all that Mersey. Overlooked the Brum thing.
😁
What was interesting yesterday is the way a back 3 allowed us to push the full backs on more which in turn creates more space to play through the lines as Sancho had to go out to Pereira after he was getting joy.
This was very clever as it meant that Maddison and Tielemans had space to do their stuff.
That and it look like Ronaldinho would rather be on holiday than bother to press our back line! We always had a pass out which was the difference.

Ronaldo on holiday. That’s about right. Spent the afternoon in Evans’ pocket. And Amartey’s pockets were full of Sancho.
Ayoze Perez was remarkable yesterday. His best performance in a long time.
No idea what happened to Perez - great game from him. Not sure how auto-incorrect changed Ronaldo to Ronaldinho either!

Best since the Napoli game, last time he started, to think some morons booed him on.

They did not boo him on TB, they booed the fact that Lookman was being taken off, as he was our best player on the day. Big difference.

Great performance on Saturday by the whole team. Really difficult to give anyone lower than an 8. The biggest difference for me was the pace of our passing - more quick passing between the lines instead of the ponderous approach play of recent matches.
The Evans factor is also massive. Soyunco looks a different player with Uncle Jonny alongside him.

He sure showed them!
Loved the way Vardy went straight to him after Perez set him up.
Also Maguire being somewhere between the Moon and Mars the room he gave Vardy!
