Yes but sadly our current manager doesn't have a pair of balls big enough to use it and stick with it until a game is won. He's too scared of counter attacks from the opposition.
Not sure but I think someone forgot to inform him that being counter attacked is actually a part of the game and he seems to think he can get games won without allowing it to happen at all.
Super slow build up, hope that the opposition defend like Spurs did a few weeks back?
arsenals style of play is look at my acca then do the complete opposite of what i predict !
Arsenals style of play........
Think of the waltz tempo, and then you might understand it !,it's definately not Fandango or
Pasa doble' , maybe a bit more Flamenco might help Arteta !
We kind of do but it just doesn’t really work that often. When we’ve scored nice goals and played well in spells, it’s usually countering, forming a back three and have FBs get forward combining interplaying with a 10, and the wingers to overlap and get cut backs and crosses in. Most of our goals are scored like that. Problem is most opposition are wise to that and can crowd us out in these areas, and because we still have pretty much no ability at all to play through the middle and create chances that way, we are all but nullified and reduced to slow sideways passes until we can try find players in wide areas again. Also doesn’t help we don’t have anyone good in the air at crosses.
Im yet to see our attack really change from that system or be able to adapt when an opponent cuts that off. We improved on occasions through the middle like when ESR was first brought in, and again when odegaard played there, but never on a consistent basis. Our defensive play is pretty good on the whole, but past that we are not good at all on a consistent basis. It’s quite damming that Arteta has had 2 years and still can’t really form an attack better than the one that has been mostly figured out by everyone apart from spurs
Hard to find consistency when you have a manager making selections and substitutions the way Arteta does. STILL doesn't know how to use the players he has so he always changing something or someone. Between that and injuries we have yet to see a consistent starting 11 and sub routine from Arteta.
Our starting 11 is "Whatever Arteta fancies doing today."
Quite simply, play with the handbrake ON.
