I'll be there with my lads so will look out for you View. I don't think it's called the Ricoh anymore, it's the Coventry Building Society Arena. Seen some good wins at Highfield Road over the years including the one where John Gregory went in goal.
Probably a very similar line-up to Tuesday, I expect Allsop to keep his place. If we drop keepers after every mistake we will have a revolving door situation. It's clear Marshall ain't coming back in so we can forget about that. Probably whoever is chosen will play better if he feels the fans are supportive but that may be too much to hope for.
Don't know if Baldock is available but Stretton won't be as he is playing for the U23s again. I would stick with the false 9 until CKR can start.
Allsop
Byrne Jagielka Davies Forsyth (if fit)
Bird Shinnie
Knight Morrison Lawrence Jozwiak
Poor night for the u23s, lost 2-3 to Palace.
Not seen the game yet, but poor first half (0-2) and never fully recovered.
Suggest that we missed Liam Thompson.
Bit of a waste of Stretton in my opinion.
Yeah it's a curious one but I guess that Rooney has looked at Stretton in the first team, decided he is not yet at the required level and told him to go off and work at certain aspects of his game, whatever the supposed deficiencies are. Rooney ought to know a fair bit about the striker's art so maybe we should trust him on this one.
'Anybody else remember stroking their chin and saying 'Jimmy Hill' (late of the Coventry parish) to express disbelief/incredulity at something? No? Just me then. Playing Coventry reminded me of it.'
I'm of a similar ilk, unfortunately.
Say Coventry and I think of Willie Carr & Ernie Hunt
Me too. And Tommy Hutchinson. We used to say "Jimmy Hill", but also "Chin Chin" and "Itchy Burr". There was much to be sceptical of at John Port in the 70s.
Also the future Rams leged Mick Co-op.
Itchy Burr ?
Not sure that got East of Mickleover ?
I always hated Jimmy Hill with a passion. I think it was the night of the Heysel disaster he went off on one with a prolonged monologue about how the return of national service was what was needed for the country.
I'm with you on hating Jimmy Hill. He used to preach about dirty players when he was a TV presenter, but by far the dirtiest side I have ever seen was his Coventry team, especially Curtis. Made Norman Hunter look like a choir boy.

Morning all, morning View....my, you're up early today ....
Well I keep saying it....another winable game IMO...we've chucked so many points away this season - we should be top now - even with the points deduction !!
Anyway let see how we do....looking forward to another feast of footballing entertainment on my 65 inch....me and Mrs H cant wait....UTR
A round trip for me collecting my lads from Uni en route. Lucky for me they aren’t at Aberdeen and Plymouth but at Nottingham and Loughborough! With three and a half thousand Derby fans there plus maybe a few more paying on the day we ought to be able to put on a good show. Up and at ‘em.
Morning, another day and probably another draw. Anyone who had predicted draws all season would be miles ahead in the prediction league. Until we sort out the scoring problem relegation is still likely even if our appeal is successful.
I reckon a point today would represent a very good result. If we maintain our current average points per game over the season we would be likely to survive even if we don't overturn the 12 points (provided we don't get any more deducted). But it's asking a lot to keep watertight at the back week after week. Mistakes will occur occasionally as we saw the other night. Players like Lawrence, Morrison and Knight all need to saying to themselves that they need to get on the scoresheet more than once in a blue moon.

Predicting draws on a fairly regular basis has got me up to a unlikey third, Spart.
Not sure what to predict today, a point would be a decent result.
I'd back our midfield against most, but theyve just got better strikers
I still think Rooney has got the team over-achieving considering what he has available. We all want to see us scoring more goals but simply to be competitive is impressive under the circumstances. Fans need to stick with the team and keep with the "we're all in this together" mentality. It's our best and only hope.

At current rate we would have survived in 7 of the last 10 seasons ….

Well I am about to start my odyssey. There may or may not be one-eyed giants, and I doubt that the singing of the faithful will be of siren quality, but hopefully I will, like Telemachus, be back home safely in time for Match Of The Day.
