Against Man City Milner was getting roasted.
Against Brentford they overloaded v Trent
v Atletico I’d not look too much into it, although again down our right but it was issues from Keita not putting a foot or body on the line to stop it happening.
The right side is a weakness of ours.

When Milner came in at LB instead he made the world of difference in just doing the basics.
Trent needs to do the basics and then do the attacking he is a great exponent at.
The amount of possession we get he will always get the opportunity to do the attacking, he doesn’t have to go to force that.

Yeah GT is right. Klopp has given Trent additional play making responsibilities which means he will cut into midfield at times or play beyond Salah at times. Trent still gets back to do right back work the majority of times but when he's not there it's not always his fault.
I would love to go back to the solidity we had defensively as a team in 18/19 season.
Why not? Basically the same team. We will always score goals.
Unless Klopp is looking at last season where we went 6 games at home not scoring or something, and felt like he needed to do something different.

I think we will get there. There has been huge upheaval in the middle of the park this season due to niggles being picked up here and there. That right side benefits massively having hendo and fab in the midfield as fab mops up and hendo will put the hard yards in covering for trent bombing on. As talented as jones is he will not do the covering work leaving us exposed down there. Saturday you also throw ox in there and thats 2 players that are naive in their defensive responsibilities.
Get fab back, thiago as well and things will start to change. Still cant believe how little that 3 have played together on the park since thiago signed.
