Romano got just about everything wrong related to Spurs over the summer so I’ll take what he says with a pinch of salt. Every chance he’s another Conte mouthpiece being used to tempt Utd into swooping in.

The announcement of the Gil signing was a Fabrizio Romano exclusive and he was one of the earliest ones to break Romero too.

if we actually get him and splash out on a midfielder and Vlahovic in January then reckon we could finish top half

united wont sack Ole now, no way. one advantage in us caving in to them was keeping him around for a bit longer until the next patch of stinky results for them,

This is why I was willing United to get the third then fourth or even fifth. We’d lost the game. It was about humiliation to set the wheels in motion.

Glad we acted fast, whoever we get. You can’t knock Levy for that. As soon as he gets a sniff things aren’t right he resets everything. That’s United’s problem. They still have a limited manager but they’re so scared of repeating past mistakes that they don’t want to start the whole Van Gaal / Jose period again. There’s no point in giving a manager time if he’s dogshiiiiit. Quick bullet to the head and sleep. Done. It’s the most humane way.

I think that's a bit of a myth TBH. Every team he's managed has been attacking as far as I saw.

I wouldn't have the biggest problem if they did. I'm not totally convinced with Conte at Spurs. Has another Mourinho feel to it but who knows. Probably won't come anyway.

by the time United dont win anything again this season and they sack Ole, Conte would have been sacked by us already anyway

Conte is definately more attacking than Mourinho... hes just not attacking like Poch. hes Italian so naturally a bit more pragmatic, which is fine.

I cant see it happening but he does seem like the best candidate. One thing is for sure it would mean that the season is still very much alive.

talks is still vague.

Paritici needs to be in his best suit, and Levy needs to make some funds available.

How the hell is Conte going to be able to work with Levy though? Yes he's successful at what he does but so many red flags would come up with this appointment to me.

Someone made promises if Conte was appointed....

The biggest thing that excites me about Conte is that if he does come in it means he’s been promised some serious investment - so it’ll give me some hope that the club are finally about to change their ways.

Haha.

Too much time at Spurs is going to leave Conte with his wig hanging off and his bald patch revealed. If he has any sense he will get a restraining order out on Paratici.

Even the hair in his wig will fall out managing spurs
