The areas of distribution of supporters of London clubs fans in the outer suburbs of London and into the home counties has very little to do with the size of the base.

It's more to do with the effects of post war slum clearance. Where possible entire streets and even areas were relocated en masse. That's why for instance central Romford and Harold Hill are largely West Ham, while Collier Row (an outer area of Romford) is largely Spurs.

The same rule applies when you look at "New Towns", some will be mainly Spurs, some West Ham and some Arsenal; and this has nothing to do with whether they are to the east, north-east or north of London. It's just where areas of people were relocated.

Chronic your example of Grays at a West Ham hotbed just illustrates this, as the central London docks closed and slums were cleared the West Ham supporting dockers were encouraged both by government and by work opportunities to move to the new dock areas of Grays and Tilbury.

Chronic, I know from experience your reasonably bright and suspect you knew this stuff. So stop trying to score cheap points, many West Ham fans are also not complete ..... oh I don't know, "tools?".
