He wouldn't rate very highly in our list of managers but he wasn't given much help at Spurs. The conditions were terrible for him. If we think Conte is going to come in and make an instant impact, well I just wouldn't get your hopes up.

I’m pretty sure he will make an instant impact, simply because it wouldn’t be difficult to based on the last 17 games. If he can motivate some key players, make us more organised at the back and introduce some sort of attacking strategy instead of hoping certain players have moments of individual brilliance he’ll have already improved us. The first 11 is decent enough to compete for 4th, but it will prob mean sacrificing somewhere else as the squad quality in depth is poverty.

We also have a favourable run of games ahead. New manager bounce til January followed by a couple of key signings and he could do alright.

I hope he does. I guess we could get that new manager effect already, as players automatically up their games to impress him, but I still feel there's a lot of work to be done before he can mould us into a strong looking outfit. It's a big tuurd to polish. The team does not have a great deal of goals in it and within the full squad a number of underperforming or average players. We shall see.

Got to say I'm proud of the fans for letting levy know how we feel on Saturday.

I felt sorry for Nuno. You can't blame him for taking the job and it was a tough set of circumstances. But the boos, you don't know what you're doing etc had to be done.

If we get Conte, it will keep levy on the hook. He will unite the fan base, and when he demands transfers Levy better deliver as Conte and the fans will let levy know their thoughts if he facks this and doesn't back a world class manager.

Part of the reason Levy acts like a tight giit is because of Peter Risdale being an utter cluster funk back in the day. Thanks for the memories Mont 😄

Nuno was sacked because he had international attacking players playing like a bunch of strangers and school boys even though they were not the newcomers in the squad and highly experienced.

Worry about you’re own s** team mate. Looking more likely you will be back where you belong in the championship. As for Conte, just goes to show despite his average we are, we are still a big club and a huge pull, as Antonio Conte is one of the best managers in the world and is coming to Spurs, suck on those lemons

I reckon Leeds will be back in the lower leagues before conte leaves Spurs. If he even comes.

Wouldn't have been my choice but he is a top manager and to have landed him is a real coup. How long will he put up with Levy for though? Or could this genuinely be a sign that Levy is going to up the stakes as far as spending goes? I guess he hasn't been shy in recent windows already.

What I also meant to say was Conte will report to Paratici so there will be a buffer between Levy and Conte.
