This is exactly what I suspect will happen. The key thing is the performances, which regardless of the results will be absolutely turgid and mean that all three games will be on a knife edge at best.

We play Arsenal the next game after that btw. And Ole treats them like peak Wenger Arsenal. We won't win that game because we'll be too terrified to even try to get more than a draw.

I think Villareal will beat us.

Jesus I didn't even consider that. Still, they aren't a great side and haven't pulled up any trees this season at all. The only worry is that I doubt they've outplayed teams as much as they did us in the first game.

It would still take a lot to go against us to be knocked out but the way things are going…

We should make it through the CL group as Ronaldo has single handedly made it possible.

We should. Essentially a draw against Villarreal should be enough.

Was just looking at it there and we’re in a strange position where 1 or 2 points could get us through but 3 points may not.

It’s clear our owners aren’t that fussed about being the very best. Just hanging onto a guy who’s gotten us into the top 4 and they probably think ‘he’s good enough to do it again so why risk a lesser manager coming in’. 😂

Should be able to get through the first 2 games without any form of tactics. Then the Chelsea game might require at least one tactic so are facked.
