Would like to see Gil bench Lucas for some games. Gil is more of a team player and gets involved in build up play and crossing.
Lucas tends to be a one trick pony and when that trick doesn’t work he gets subbed very early in the match.
He needs to use his brain more..learn that sometimes he should play one-twos or make runs into space instead of coming short and turning into central traffic.

I saw some stats the other day on PEH that has the most tackles or interceptions this season. Agree he has looked poor at times but he is definately one player who could excel under Conte.
By all accounts he has the right mentality. You cannot fault his effort. His ability isn't great but he is a steady eddie and hopefully Conte can make him better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This exactly, people don’t recognise the recoveries he makes. I like Skipp but PEH has made some key interceptions all season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem with the pair of them is their use of the
ball. No one really questions their qualities as a DM. This is an issue when we also have 3 CBs. It leave only 1 creative CM to feed the front line.
Hojbjerg not actually playing as a 'dm' is the issue, tries to be box to box and he isnt very good in the final third.

Yes, but then Hojbjerg will undo all his good work by passing the ball straight out of play or to the opposition. He has also failed to do the basics of busting a gut to close down shots leading to goals on more than one occasion this season.
He's not a good enough passer to fit any of the 3 midfield positions in Conte's 352 (whether the midfield 3 uses as dedicated defensive or attacking midfielder).
He's been OK in the 343, but I don't expect Conte to stick with that past January because Spurs' midfielders are either too limited technically (Hojbjerg/Skipp) or defensively (Lo Celso/Ndombele) for it to work.
I think any of Conte's typical systems need at least one proper all-rounder in midfield - someone who can tackle, keep a good defensive position, beat the press and pass progressively, all to a decent degree. None of Spurs' midfielders ticks all those boxes which is why I think Conte will be looking at central midfield as a priority in January.

Agree, central midfield has been the root cause of our problems since Dembele was sold and not replaced adequately. We no longer control games like we used to and central midfield is where games are bossed.
CAN TACKLE - Hojbjerg, Skipp
DECENT POSITIONALLY - Hojbjerg, Skipp
CAN BEAT THE PRESS - Lo Celso, Ndombele
CAN PASS PROGRESSIVELY - Lo Celso, Ndombele
I think Skipp can potentially learn the latter two skills but he's not there yet. I don't think Hojbjerg is likely to suddenly unlock any previously unforeseen potential at this point, so I'm not sure where he fits long-term in any Conte system. His lack of passing ability hinders him badly because Conte's setup relies really heavily on the midfielders being able to reliably pass through the lines and progress play quickly.
Just tell Harry to wear an England shirt and we should be okay.

definitely not something new.
i would take a draw right now of course. we just haven't been putting them in the net,
we were the better team in all our draws and with a bit of luck would have been around even with you.

Agreed...technically the 3 midfielders in a 352 should be a 6,8 and 10.
Ndombele is more of an 8 but we trying to make him a 10.
Hojbjerg and Skipp are 8s but we trying to make them 6s
Winks is a 6 that can't tackle so doesn't fit in anywhere.

We did in our last 2 away games.
Romero came off with what looks like a a thigh or hamstring injury. We never catch a break. Rule him out for Sunday.
While we are showing signs of returning to for - Bielsa said our performance against Leicester was a real Leeds performance - Spurs have had a poor number of weeks leading to Nuno’s departure, with losses to Man U and West Ham, and a pretty dull draw at Everton. The fixture pile-up hasn’t helped you, and with Romero out, who can you bring into play that role? He looks class from what I have seen.
For Leeds, we have had a lot of injuries, but we are beginning to click, and our trajectory is rising. This will be a very close game in my view. Spurs will win it if all your players are firing, but how long has it been sinCe we saw that? On the other hand, allow Rod and Raph the space you afforded Man U, and you will be crying all the way to shul next Shabbat
