Harsh.

why is that GT
putting people in prison for protesting
dangerous precedent to set
No, they are not putting the fackers in prison for protesting. They are putting them in prison for lying on m25 at rush hour, putting their own and other peoples lives in danger and blocking emergancy services from getting where they need to be.
No sympathy for them
Loads of sympathy for them myself but there we go. Things like this that make me hate the general public.
While they’re at it they should expel Greta Thunberg from school for playing truant xxxxx
It's a shame people are having to resort to such extreme measures when they are quite clearly in the right and being ignored to what will be the detriment of millions of lives in the long run
Just further illustrates how facked the planet is

Yup
The next generation will thank them for their efforts.
I'll wager that those who sympathise with the protesters would feel very differently if they were stuck in an unnecessary traffic jam for hours preventing them from taking the kids to school, earning a living or getting somebody to hospital.
So stupid but they know these types of protests are only the beginning so trying to deter young people.

And people celebrating what they're going to jail just shows what a joke we are. This governement has wasted and corrupted away enough money in the last two years alone to insulate Britain a few times over but people are more concerned with protesters blocking the road. Think about that for a minute. Is it that we are the sheep that are told what to think by media? Insane.
They won't see going to jail as a loss, theyll see it as a victory. . Apparently one of them is going on hunger strike.

Hope someone blocks the road out of prison on their release day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That won't hurt them. In fact, they'll probably join the road blockers and help them block the road.

They are not in the right, insulation has material costs and fitting costs, why should people be entitled to free Labour?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To help save the planet, I hope thats a good reason, and because the money is there for them to pocket, so why not help save the planet instead?

The government have been handing out grants to insulate your home for 20 + years. I moved into my house a few years ago and the first thing I did was go up into the loft and fill it with rockwood. It cost about £100. Not difficult.
Do people just want the govenment to wipe their arsesfor them all the time?
Most of these protesters didn't even have their own homes insulated, some of them had been travelling the world in their gap years.
Noo sympathy, if they see jail as a victory, then good for them.
