Don't read too much onto Mercedes results during practice. They always struggle P1 p2 p3 and then take pole. Like they do it on purpose.

Ive no respect for Bottas either. Always fast when he can drive a lap on his own. In the race in the fastest car he is nothing. Plus no spine either. Hamiltons lap dog.

Do Mercedes have the fastest car this year?

FIA have said they won’t investigate. Apparently the Marshall waved the double yellows in error

It seems Formula 1 is prepared to put entertainment over safety 🤷‍♂️ Error or not you should ALWAYS follow the Marshall’s instruction. The consequence could be fatal

I’m either ahead of the news or far behind (probably the latter )

Alonso, Gasly, Norris won't give up positions easily on the soft tyres.

Hats off to Hamilton.

He is driving as well as he ever had and seems to be embracing the challenge this season. Good qualifying and hopefully a bit of a mixed up

Yep.
Clean-side, fast on straights (due to low downforce car), potential double slip slipstream from Hamilton and Gasly into the first corner...Gasly a sitting duck.
Alonso has nothing to lose, might cause a DRS train...if he gets a good start from third place (likewise Norris).

Bottas and Max, if they are not close by the first lap...will simply undercut or overcut in the later proceedings of the race, no problem with the inherit pace of their cars. (Provided they don't crash into the first corner).

Hamilton will win it, Max will be second, the rest is up for grabs.

If there were double flags they should get penalties, but I can see how there was confusion. The yellow flag and track clear were going on and off on screen. Teams didnt even radio their drivers, it was very confusing tbf

5 place grid drop for Verstappen & 3 place grid pen for Bottas confirmed. Sainz, no further action...
