Manchester United board have decided to fire Ole Gunnar Solskjær after 5 hour internal talk, confirmed. Mutual agreement to part ways now considered. 🔴 #MUFC
Once Joel Glazer approves the decision, it will be confirmed and announced by Man United.
Zidane wouldn’t be my first choice but as I said the other day
Worked with Varane and Ronaldo
Loves Pogba so might get him to sing da ting
Really wanted to sign Donny
And he’s bloody Zidane so hopefully the respect he brings will get the players fired up.
Fletcher?
The show continues.

There was no way he could survive the Watford result. I get the feeling after the break he was on his last warning and this was even worse than expected.

Scottish and Utd DNA, that has to count for something.
Some people really like the sound of their own voice.

I hope United fans are able to differentiate the difference between Ole the player and Ole the manager. Still a club legend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately for a long time that’s not been the case. Had it been he’d have been sacked ages ago and people would have been fine with it.
It’s sad it’s got to this. It’s why we should never appoint ex players, unless they are obviously unbelievable managers. It just makes thing more unpalatable.
Doubt we'll see the new manager til after the Arsenal game. Gives them time to get him in and a really winnable set of games to come
BREAKING: Manchester Utd have decided that today is Saturday and tomorrow is Sunday.
More to follow.

No surprise really.
Personally think if we'd lost 2-1 or 1-0 he may have lasted another game, even if it was the Chelsea game. But the manner of another awful performance and heavy defeat was the final straw.

I guess it pays to sack more often and more quickly like Chelsea. That way the more you go through managers the more chance you'll have of finding a good one. You've gone and wasted 3 years on Ole who has failed to do anything in that time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why can't Spurs do this?

I get what you mean, very bitter taste the last few months. Built a good squad, he just couldn’t handle it, wish he has left earlier.
Still a legend in my eyes
I think Utd should keep with Ole but if Fletch is available they should go for him

You certainly do.
The irony is that the supposed bad squad Jose left behind was good enough to win like 8 straight games but this supposedly better squad probably won’t.
The one worry is if Fletcher does well til the end of the season...

Surely you might as well try for a new manager bounce in those games we’ve already written off otherwise?
I do wonder how Utd would have ended up without Ronaldo.
Not that Ole is any good but pre-Ronaldo they actually seemed to have a decent balance with Pogba on the right
I think the limitations of our squad will become more obvious to some if we get a top manager in. It’s why I think Ole’s squad building hasn’t been good enough. He’s outspent everyone in the league and we still have a squad that is far off the very best.
Rooney, the Utd gig might appear a picnic compared to the hell hole that is us.
We’d still be crap. Our performances haven’t been significantly worse for a lot of this season compared to the ones before.
