Lots of plodders in the team. It's hard to see Conte getting any more out of them but I'll trust his judgement for the time being.

I agree, Dele's hair seems to indicate brainlessness.
More focus on hair than on football.
Maybe trade him for someone good?
I do not understand why Lucas Moura is getting so much stick from popsters on here.
He and Son are our most positive players. You don't see Lucas passing backwards... he's on and at 'em. So he gets triple teamed and runs into trouble. That was happening to Harry Kane too.
But he made our first goal. And takes opposition's attention away from other players, like Son, Kane, Hojbjerg and Reguilon.
Let me answer these comments one at a time......
1. I thought Sanchez was more imposing than Tanganga.
* Tangange was on the whole 90...Sanchez made a cameo appearance.
2. Winks was invisible
* No he was obvious all the damned time, mostly running in trouble and getting bounced off the ball. He is a weak player for the Prem rough & tumble.
3. Kane plays in slow mo.
*Kane was shadowed by Phillips all afternoon. Even so, he got away with the ball most of the time, and almost scored. By his standards he was piisssed he didn't score. He is a constant threat, and maybe he'll shape up under Conte.
4. None of our centre backs wanted to carry the ball out of defence. Dier tried a but we need new ball playing CBs badly.
* You don't know what they "want to do" versus what they are told to do by Conte.
Seemed today the job of "carrying the ball" was given to Reguilon, Moura, and Emerson. We miss Lo Chelso and Ndombele. Perhaps if Romero could play things might have set up differently.

We really need a Brozovic-type player to control the midfield and set tempo. Even at Wolves Nuno had Moutinho and Neves. Both would walk into our team.
In a 343 the two centre mids don't need to be ball carriers and water boys. We have too many that rely on beating their men to be effective. Need more cerebral passers in January.

Still.amazes me how players on 100k a week can't receive the ball on a half turn.
Winks and Hojbjerg can only pass where they are facing no guile so most of the time it's too easy for a man marker to dispossess them.

Fairplay to Conte for taking this job on. He must have supreme confidence in himself if he thinks he can achieve something with these players.
Obviously he will need to be backed with transfers but I do find it interesting how he is implementing his style on a group of players who have underperformed under Nuno and Jose.
I love watching him on the side lines and his interviews are brilliant.
Today was a tough watch at times but we grew into the game. Compare that to his game in the ropey, we started strong and finished with a wimper.
There are going to be bumps in the road but at least Skipp will be back for the next league game. He could really make a difference.
We just need to grind some results out until the window opens. Two signing please(at least) Anything more will be a bonus.

What would be your two priorities in January? I think we need 3 signings minimum.
CB: De Vrij or Botman or Romagnoli
CM: Brozovic or Kessie (not Mckennie)

Sanchez was also joint first in terms of interceptions with three, level with Sergio Reguilon – and he produced a key pass. His cameo role was excellent.

I'm betting 352. because that's what he did at Juve and Italy.
However, tactically once play starts it will probably look more like 3-4-1-2 with Lucas being the "1".
