Just been reading comments from Lucas who said that conte is teaching everybody where to be on the pitch, which might sound a bit basic, but after the amount of headless chicken displays we’ve seen is clearly needed!
I’m also certain he’s responsible for Reggie’s first goal, telling him “advance advance advance” into the box, which he did with lightening speed!

That's the other really good thing with him, he's an incredibly structured manager, and not only does he improve limited players, but were he feels he can't he's quick to restructure his team. At his first season at Juve the left back position was a real problem for them so he quickly re-structured the team from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 and essentially got rid of the position rather than try and fit in players there who didn't suit the role.
The second half of the Leeds match, and just generally his previous management record, really excited about the impact he can have at Spurs particularly on the underperforming and 'deadwood" elements of the squad.

Yup, mentally weak players. It might even be the luxury surroundings adding to this attitude.
Sessegnon - that’s a player I expect to improve leaps and bounds with Conte, he seems like an ideal fit.
You would imagine Doherty and Bergwijn have a much better chance now also. Conte has already shown he likes Davies by making him the left sided CB.
Winks is a 50/50.
Alli, Gil, Lo Celso, N’dombele - I think he might get something out of Gil. The other 3 look dead in the water to me.

I don’t disagree - just thinking out loud about which one the players we do have he can have an impact on as he has done on others throughout his career. Even if he rejuvenates one or two, possibly even three of these guys that’s huge for us.
I'm gonna say Dier and Davies. Both are limited but could breathe new life under Conte.
Not a fan of Dier at all but he has been steady this season. He put in a good display on Sunday but lets not forget Leeds had their best forwards out and he was up against a 19 year old rookie.
Davies could really excel too. One more player is PEH. A master of nothing and a jack of all trades. A steady eddie player who could go on be a real midfield stalwart.

I have a soft spot for Dier for some reason. I think with improved fitness and conditioning that Conte will bring, and in a back three, he may well flourish. His performance against Leeds was certainly impressive and at one point he even dropped a 30 yard pass over their back line on the foot of the advancing Davies who should have scored

To be honest I have a soft spot for all the remnants of the old Poch even the likes of Winks and Dele who haven’t performed for us in ages. With Dier I don’t think he’s actually all that bad a player, just someone perhaps who has hit his ceiling and suffers for the fact that people expected a lot more. I agree with you on the fitness and conditioning and it will be interesting to see how that works out for him.
I think the player who we will see benefit the most from Conte is Kane
He was dead in the water before his appointment …..waiting for either January or the summer latest to get his move
I saw a different Kane against Leeds ….looked hungrier and actually put some effort in with closing down their defenders….rather than jogging he was sprinting
He may still move in January or the summer but I just think we are now going to see a very focused Kane

agreed on his effort although his decision making and passing was off....too many touches too often. I suppose now he doesnt instinctively know where players will be

I feel the opposite - I’d rather a complete rebuild from that era and now that we are +2 years down the line hav enlist all sense of sentiment to that group, or hope that they will recover their peak Poch era form. Hugo, Son, Kane. They are the only ones of any use to us, I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if any of the others were sold.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed and to be honest Kane probably needs to go as well. My hope is that by the end of the season, Conte knows exactly who he does and doesn’t want and Levy sanctions the sales - no more side chats with Ndombele to try and get the best out of him, just listen to Conte and do what he says.

Will be interesting to see what Kane's position (in terms of his furture) is now Conte is on board. If we make some signings in January will it be enough for him to commit to us? Time will tell.
A couple of names have been banded about like Kessie and Vlahovic. Vlahovic's team have been linked with some players yday which could mean they are gearing up for sale?

I’m lazy and can’t be bothered to look for highlights 😂
Not sure why but I’ve always liked left footed strikers …..Robbie Fowler springs to mind
I meant I have only "watched" highlights. It wasn't an order 🤣. Seriously though if you get time have a pat butchers.

Watched him play twice since we’ve been linked with him and can’t pretend to be any kind of expert but I really liked what I saw. Seems to be a proper old school out and out striker whose off the ball movement really caught the eye. Has a decent amount of pace on him as well. Those were my main impressions and on the whole really liked what I saw.
I called Ben Davies before he was given the LCB role. It had to be him. He's left-footed. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's one of the first names on the team sheet now. It's such a specialist role and you really need to be a lefty to play it.
As for others, I'm not sure Royale offers what Conte needs from an attacking perspective. He always opts for the pass backwards rather than driving down the line. I can see potentially Bergwijn being given that role if he can spend these early months on the training ground learning how to defend that right side. That said, I'm surprised Tanganga hasn't been trusted there. He's better than Royale both defensively and in an attacking sense. Lucas is too slight to play the role, same for Gil.
Then there's Sessegnon who might grow into the role on the left side but he'll have to go some to usurp Reggy who already was a wing back at Sevilla.

That’s the longest football related comment I’ve seen from you in 11 years Sizz

Anyone actually watched Vlahovic play?
I haven’t but his record speaks for itself
What sort of player is he? Quick? Big and strong ?
From reports I’ve read he is going to be the real deal and could be ideal to replace Kane

Just watch highlights. He is tall, faster than Kane which is not hard. Left footed as well. Plenty of scope to continue to improve as well.
