"We shall continue to invest in our senior management and our staff to deliver this and look to decrease our reliance on football revenues alone, such that we protect our Club’s long-term sustainability."
Football revenues? Does that include gate and prize money?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's what it sounds like SS.
Investing more in senior management & non footballing staff and decrease reliance on football revenues.
So no increased investment in the team. Looks like Levy & ENIC are gearing up to phase out the footballing side of the business altogether.
Makes sense though, with extra income from more boxing matches & concerts and possibly more NFL games whilst not having to pay 100s of millions on player purchases/wages per year they can instantly double/triple their annual profits for zero additional outlay.

No. Wrong interpretation.
What they are saying is that as we increase revenues, a greater proportion will be from non-football sources.
The purpose of this is that it is the non-football revenues that make the difference. We can fill the ground, take the TV money, sell drinks and burgers but every club does that. The ability to make revenue from conferencing, other sporting events sets us apart, gives us revenue streams other clubs do not have.
It also, long term, protects us if football revenues fall, if TV money goes down then we maintain that competitive advantage achieved through a diversified range of revenues.
a quick google suggests that wolves debt has increased by 145% since 2018

Meh, yet more bleating and excuses being readied by Blofeld for when he fails to bring in the players Conte needs due to lack of willingness to spend.
The big clubs that win the trophies, find the money to improve their squads and don`t consistently plead poverty.
ENIC`s business model does not bring the club silverware, which is why they need replacing.

Real good breakdown of the accounts.
The wage to turnover percentage has increased to 57%, it was previously as low as 38%, reduced turnover no doubt the factor here. Also wages up 20% seems strange given we have lost high earners such as Bale, Lamela, Sissoko, Toby and Rose and our new players are younger and likely to be on lesser wages, unless these wages will appear on next year's stats maybe.

The ratio is higher because our revenues have dropped significantly due to the pandemic., so the ratio is artificially high.
In a season when matchday fell about £90m compared to last season (which itself was affected by lockdown), you can expect there to be about £120m revenue missing from a normal seasons accounts.
I'd expect revenues normally to be around £430-£450m so then the £200m staff costs is back down below 50% and more like 45%
