The Ranieri one is bizarre - probably because they were struggling to find 3 examples tbh?
A bit random, but you're probably right.
I doubt Ojo from Aberdeen will be up for nomination next year...
Was a fantastic gesture by Brown - a rare moment of class in the madness of a Glasgow derby. The Danes should win it though.

I think Brown’s was more meaningful in that he recognised a fellow pro being racially abused and deliberately found the time to let him know people stood by him.
The Danish was more spur of the moment and reactionary to protect one of their own being “put on display” by tv whilst he fought for his life.
Both admirable acts

Agree
Both very different.
Brown's was premeditated and planned. Glad it was in front of the cameras as it shows the world that the OF are together against racism.
Denmark was spur of the moment and absolutely brilliant how they stood together despite being in the midst of an emotional moment with millions watching at home.
Danes to win it for me

I agree both admirable acts - but in terms of Fair Play, Brown's actions as captain, in crossing a divide to show solidarity with a fellow professional, an opponent who was subjected to racist abuse, and, immediately before an important game between them was exemplary behaviour and epitomises Fair Play.
I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t go to the Denmark contingent, as meaningful as Brown’s gesture was.
I’d be shocked if Ranieri wins it.
it's nice that fair play is recognised in the game, are all these moments being used in a competition? from the article that's how I read it
"The winner of the award is to be decided by "a panel of experts representing both FIFA and external football stakeholders"."
surely they can all be recognised for their sportmanship, courage and decency without making it a competition?
It’s not really a competition though, is it?
It’s just who they feel is most deserving of the award.
Just give them all an award rather than a ridiculous competition

Mystified. Googled it and found a page with the ten biggest rivalries in Italian football - Inter v Sampdoria didn’t feature!
Good gesture by brown
Would be good if he won
But isn’t the world strange that showing support for someone racially abused is not the norm and is even worthy of note
It was pre the Glasgow derby mind you does that make a difference ?
It a bit like the police congratulating the crowd for not causing bother
Ffs well done for behaving like a normal person
Brown behaved like a normal person should
