No and no Arsenal fan should bloody well want to either. What we should be aiming for is to return to challenging in the same fashion we did before. With great football played in the opposition half most of the game. Not back and forth across the back line form 70-80% of the match.
The way City play needs to be DISCOURAGED in the game not expanded to even more teams. This whole hogging the ball among defenders until the opposition HAS to stretch to come for the ball. Making it easy to now pick their way through far weaker opposition as it was, is a "joy of footy" killing tactic. And the sooner the do something about repeated back passing to kill it off, the better. It's just "Passing it back to the goalie" but in a slightly different skin.
That way of playing killed so many of the Euros games by just backpassing the games to deathly boredom.
We need it BANNED (or at least limited), not sucking the soul out of English football even moreso than it has already.

Tbf it takes a big personality of a manager to get success from a cash cow team. It's no good blowwing 800 mil to build squad of top draw starters, whithout getting the right manager. You basically need somebody who can be a bigger asshat than any star player.
That's why Jose was so good at Chelsea first time out. He got there and from day one he was "takin on all-comers, knockin out bums," with 1st round KOs. And to this day he is the undisputed "Chelsea's Biggest Prima Donna" CHAMP. Arrogance so legendary it's had it's own TV ad campaign, more than once
Think it's one of the reasons AW never ever took the Real job when it was offered. Even if you think Wenger's an asshat, he's not the right kind to deal with a full blown prima donna squad. He's too polite and nice.
